Indian food is very costly in any restaurant in Switzerland. Back in August 2014 I stayed in hotel Ramada in Engelberg for a night. For my dinner I ordered 2 Naan and a plate of butter chicken . That costed me around 23 franc.

Wonderful and comprehensive video.! Just a little tip about hotels, you can even stay in an AirBnB, which would be cheaper than a hotel...They are apartments and a small group can stay together, depending on the number of rooms...You pay the price per night for the apartments, rather than per room... They are clean and cozy...I just returned from Lucerne in August, which is a peak season...I traveled solo and paid a total of 175 swiss franks for 3 nights (around 59 franks per night), and it was super comfortable with a separate kitchen, where I could cook my own meal if I wanted to...
Actually it doesn’t have a name because usually AirBnBs are owned by private individuals…But the name of the owner was Reina and it is in Pilatusblick in Lucerne…My AirBnB was meant for 1 person…however, you could easily find AirBnBs that can accomate a family or group on their website
You have well documented for Switzerland, great coverage on Coop and Migros only one addition which I visited in March 2024 so in Coop n Migros you can get a 1.5 liter of Still water (normal) water for as low as 0.35 CHF only you have to ask the counter person as it is available in some outlets not in all, for example in Lucerne station and in Interlaken near the West station and in Zurich HB Migros station counter, thanks for your video

Technically, yes. You can be asked for ID anytime. Although, I have never been randomly stopped and asked for ID till now. When in trains, its advisable to carry it because for booking passes / tickets you will be asked, its mandatory for that

Depends. First time Schengen apply kar rahe ho and travel history zyada nai hai to sirf exact travel dates ya ek mahine ka milega. Kabhi kabhi 3 mahine ka milta hai. Agar multiple travels hai to zyada ka bhi mil sakta hai

Or it has to be Netherlands only? If so, can I show Netherlands (first country of visit with max. days stay) and then Switzerland in my itinerary just for visa application purpose, and then change my itinerary reducing stay in Netherlands and increasing days in Switzerland? Ya, if you are 4 , car rental can be a good option. Just be sure about parking availability. It is not available at every public spot and the fine for wrong parking are crazy. so do that research well

Winter wear wont be needed. Usually its warm in August. Carry minimal rain clothes or umbrella. I have mostly carried ready to eat food items. However I am not sure about what they allow in raw food items

I do not do day wise itinerary. This video covers all info that I have. For chocolates, there are many brands like Laderach, Lindt, Springli etc. Just go and ask for eggless chocolates. They usually have many option for even vegan chocolates

From Geneva, France is very close but Paris is a bit far as it is in the North. Italy is not too far and you can reach in few hours. Germany is also towards the north. You can cover all three countries if you have time as there is good train connectivity from Geneva

Plus with the half rate card, you can only redeem 50% of the ticket cost, while with swiss pass, its absolutely free
Half fare card is valid for a month. Swiss pass cost is double of half fare. If you plan to travel a lot and the cost of tickets + half fare card exceeds 250 francs then its better to buy swiss pass
What will be best for us to buy Swiss pass with Jungfraujoch Matterhorn and my titlis all together or to buy Swiss pass without all these places and buy tickets to all these places on the date of visit ???
I would suggest to buy tickets for these places on the day you visit. Trains will anyways be free with the swiss pass. Not buying tickets in advance will give you flexibility
