Colin has a sense of style sliding every glass down the bar. Love it. Never been a big tequila drinker but may have to try these instead of scotch or bourbon usual options.
I started with tequila when I started smoking.l so to this day I prefer tequila paired with my cigars. Tres dragones is my fave. Also my first tequila was 1800 when I was 16 down in Miami and the guy next to me couldn't handle his drink and later in the night did a flaming shot and burned his arm and then got into a fight with the bar tender and the cops were called... Good memories
I am with you Mazz. I absolutely love la aroma de cubas's mi amor too. I have had the Arturo Fuentes Short story which I think it's part of the Hemingway series cigars. Two very different but great cigars. Not the biggest fan of Tequila but I will have to give it another try. Keep up the good Content 👍 👌 👏
The final pairing with the Padron and organic tequila would be my perfect pairing. The true classic Nicaraguan cigar with a pure tequila, a match made in heaven. The production is so top notch, I love what you guys are doing! 🙏🍂 Enjoying an AF RSG Magnum R 44 while enjoying the content ✌️
Holt's, I hope you do this again sometime with tequila brands that really respect the land and age agaves properly. Those vanilla flavors are often added in some of those tequilas. Blancos are also delicious and pair well with cigars.
Thank you for sharing this. I have had both success and failure with pairing cigars with tequila. Last night for instance I ended the only reposido I enjoy which is Espolon with a Conuco full body rubusto. Though Anejio tequila is my favorite.
Thanks Anthony. Great recommendations. Fine tequila has been a favorite spirit of mine for years. Looking forward to trying some of these out soon. Maybe a reposado with a My Father CT.
Living right next to the border of the US and Mexico, I’ve been really lucky to sample hundreds of tequilas. One of my favorites is the Don Julio 70, it’s an anejo blanco that is smooth and extremely delicious. The best part is it only runs for around $75.00 a bottle, at least here in South Texas. The last time I sipped it, I did so with an Opus X Lost City. Great video Anthony, keep em coming.
@@ignaciosalazar7070 I had my first cocktail at the Cadillac Bar in the late 80s!! I used to go to many towns on the Frontera when I was younger but I haven't been down there for at least 10 years.
@@ignaciosalazar7070 Agreed and it's a damn shame. My parents would take me and a friend when I was a teenager and we would stay at La Posada Del Rey close to puente dos and it was always a great time both in Nuevo Laredo and in our Laredo. All of that seems gone now and until things really change I'm not going back. I will drive into the Interior and I've actually driven all the way from Corpus Christi to Merida three times in the past ten years. We stayed there in a haciendo style Airbnb that I really enjoyed and used that as our 'home base' to explore the Yucatan. I've never had a problem driving there except for those damn topes trying to crack my axles.
You should do a video of paring cigars with MEZCAL, the original Tequila… It has a very smokey delicious note, I like it more than Tequila, for me it has more character…
Fortaleza, El Tesoro, ArteNOM, Cazcanes, Tequila Ocho, Siete Leguas, Fuenteseca, G4 are all amazing brands. Stay away from anything with additives in it.
Holy Shit you’re right, I can’t believe this is tequila. Ultra smooth, honey, oak, smoke, earth, what have I been missing for all these years? Now I’ve gotta pick out a stick to go with this Tierra Sagrada Anejo tequila! What a nice departure from Islay whisky! THANKS FOR THE ENLIGHTENMENT
Nice but I see this video leaning towards " Commercial" tequila brands ( which are additive bombs, to say the least)... I would like recommendations for us who like more traditional stuff like Tequila Ocho, Lalo, Carrera, Don Fulano, El Tesoro....
I like to infuse some of my cigars with tequila especial Teremana Añejo or Reposado, please don’t feel ofended but any now and then I do the Arnold wipe the cigar with Tequila with the cedar.✌🏼
Those tequilas aren’t my thing. Prefer my tequila without additive. El Tequileño Gran Reserva Añejo is one of my favorite tequila. Would be good with the Arturo Fuente Hemingway.
It's never really worked for me either. Hey I live in south Texas so believe me I've tried to make it work but nope. The closest I've come to a combination that wasn't overpowering one way or the other was Patron Añejo with LFD but it's just too much of an assault on the palette with such rich and complex flavors at the same time.
