Went fishing and exploring on Tellico Lake and the water was so clear. Kayaked up a creek to find some really good fish but had really had trouble getting the hook stuck in them.

What a beautiful day and place for being outside fishing. I really like that are using your kayak instead of a boat with a motor. Good for the environment, plus it doesn't mess things up like a motor does. You seem to have more fun and catch a lot more fish than a lot of those guys with big fancy boats. They wouldn't have gotten through that log jam like you did. lol. Thanks for another great fishing trip. Happy fishing and God bless.

If you lose 1 fish it's a fluke. If you lose 2 fish it's your hook. Either sharpen it or replace it. Beautiful scenery.

I believe that lake has been heavily drained for damn repair a couple times in the last 15 years or so. I fished it several years ago & caught a 3lb smallmouth on the first cast. Thought I was in for a great day & then never got another bite!

Beautiful lake and river fishing spots. You got your quality fish early then the perseverance lesson later. It isn't until down the road that I learn to appreciate both. Great work brother man. I know that lake so beautiful! I am up that way a fair amount. Usually on the next lake down because you can fish that one with a NC license. And its has a boat in campground. Anyway nice to see you in my neighborhood.

the best baits ive used in clear water is salt&pepper or cotton candy with died chartruse tailed lizzard from the zoon line .and dont forget to sharpen your hooks if you keep losing fish on the hookset.

Dang that water looked awesome! You should try little Wilbur dam near Elizabethton TN. I live beside doe river I could show you some killer small mouth spots. I have caught 5+ pounders out of there.

This lake and the one up from it are absolute favorites of mine and my husband's. We tend to have to work harder due to the water being so crystal clear but man, is it worth it and you can't beat those views

I hope we get back up there before it gets too cold water temp was already down to 59 in one spot up there 2 weeks ago.

A tip I got from Salt Strong in clear water set your hook by feel and not by sight. I haven't had the chance to practice this, but best luck to you.

had one of those days trout fishing in a resivore, and the bobber kept going down, couldn't hook nothin'! my girlfriend sittin' right next to me, caught several fish and one 16 inch incher... I was spittin' bullets! until I figured out salimanders were pullin' my bobber down, couldn't hook one for nuthin' !

How long did it take to get from the ramp to the creek? I've dropped in across the lake but it takes forever to get into the creek that way. Been thinking about that ramp you dropped in at but wasn't sure if the extra 35 minutes driving to get there would be worth it. Got chased out of the creek the two times I've been there, once by lightning and once because recent rains had made the current way too strong, even with thr peddle drive.
