Great to hear. In general, the experienced people like the Filmic mode more because it makes the shading richer and more realistic. I tend to make graphics with a white background so that I can reuse it in papers and presentations. This forces me to use Standard.

@empossible1577
@empossible1577 Год назад
Yes. Near the upper right corner of your 3D viewport there is a row of buttons that selects how the Blender will display the objects as you are working. I wish I could paste a picture here. The first is wireframe, the second is solid (standard CAD view), the third is material preview (can see your shading, but not rendered), and the last is rendered. Yes, this tutorial does that. If you just change your World setting to white, that will affect the lighting of your scene. This tutorial does not do that. Instead, it uses image transparency. Then after the render, it fills the transparent space with pure white. This does not affect the lighting.

You don't need to change filmic to standard if you're going to use the compositor. That's basically first setting your background to white (setting filmic to standard) and THEN deleting that shiny white background by using the transparency option together with the alpha over in the compositor. If you have the option to use filmic, use it. It's easier to get nice lighting with it compares to standard.

@empossible1577
@empossible1577 2 года назад
@@cr4723 LOL. I definitely see you point, but think of this way. A white sheet of paper will be a different color of white depending what type of lighting it is in. That white sheet of paper in a very dark room will look dark gray. Out in the bright sun, it will look much more like RGB white, but still will not be perfect RGB white. Blender is attempting to make scenes look realistic where colors will take on different shades depending on the lighting and shadows. How odd would it be for a white sheet of paper to render as perfect RGB white if it was placed in a dark area of a scene? To get a perfect RGB background, you essentially have to break the rules of accurate lighting. This is why it is a bit more difficult than it seems like it should be. I am not sure what your background is, but in my area of science and engineering, I highly recommend Blender as a skill. It will contribute to your career success as it has mine. If you find a better software tool, please let me know. I am always looking for better tools for visualizing and animating crazy 3D concepts.
