It's crazy. I found out that every male in the family Reuß has a Heinrich as a first or second name. A dear ex-coworker of mine had the exact same name. Now it turned out, that this very Heinrich is his uncle ... You don't choose family.

I'm afraid, despite the fact that a Timex 'Hop-a-long' Cassidy' was my first watch (c.1962), the modern company seems entranced by the 'bottom-line'. No doubt about it; the 1980's certainly was the decade of 'big hair'. Some of it even on the head.
I just love those Hentschel watches and have been following them for a while. I think a bike trip to Hamburg beckons! Love the channel .. also from England. (and by the way ... know the owners of Merchant and Mills that you featured a year or so back!).

I own a Kurono Toki, I love it, but I don't like Kurono's marketing though it is extremely successful for them. They sell unlimited versions of the same watch with different dials at outrageously high prices.
That's a really nice selection. I'd perhaps add a Louis Erard watch to the list, and as a Russian, there are at least two modern Raketa watches that immediately come to mind when I think of a watch for a creative person-Raketa Avant-garde and Raketa Malevich
I'm in Japan in a couple months and was considering the Kurone watches. But beautiful as they are. €2000 for a watch with a Miyota 90S5 is a bit out there. I have a watch with that movement - it cost €300. I'd rather spend that money on Grand Seiko.
