❤ I was looking forward to seeing this breakdown. I knew you would explain how to perform it with care and detail. I've gone to the gym on and off for years but I would always shy away from trying this squat. This gives me confidence to Try this safely and actually have a clue on what to do. Question? outside of the this exercise making the legs and glutes strong does it effect or target any other muscles?

Im glad you have found value in this video and gave you the confidence to perform the squats and ensure you're performing it safely! The squats are a great exercise that targets the entire body - quads, glutes, hamstrings and calves! You are also building a strong and resilient spine.

Love the way you explain! ❤️ I have a quick question - lets say I cant get my knees and hips parallel to the floor with heavier weights (Good form is till around 15kg each side then 20kg is when this happens). Is this okay or should I lower the weight and do more reps instead? Thanks so much!

Hey Lovely! Im so glad you found this video helpful!! 💜 Definitely continue to practice form and reach that depth. Often its in our heads, you can most likely do 20kg, but its the fear of not getting back up, would this be the case? Have safety racks on either side for safety, before you squat the 20kg, visualise yourself performing the rep knees and hips parallel to the floor, youd surprise yourself! ;) It is also okay to do more reps instead too! If your goal is to build muscle and get stronger, definitely challenge yourself with 20kg. I have a video coming out next week that will help you be able to reach better depth - stay notified! 😊

Happy to help in anyway I can!😃 Having the safety rack will give you a peace of mind, when you are not able to get back up, just let the barbell fall behind you and keep trying! I definitely believe you can! Otherwise doing 15kg for more reps and more control will help you conitnue to improve on technique before you up to 20kg! 100% you will get there! Keep practicing on the 15kg with slower reps and then when you feel confident enough, definitely try the 20kg! :) Keep it up!!
