@Etienne Bunbury During the build up Haye was playing devil's advocate to a certain extent. It would have been boring if all British pundits had backed Fury. He's now admitted he was wrong and shouldn't have doubted Fury. I think Haye added to the buildup with his views.

Ben made and kept Tyson fit and hungry to win, the skill is all Fury but Ben did a lot of mental work and kept Fury grounded and motivated

David Saul I think saying Ben wanted Tyson to lose is a little harsh. Tyson works fantastically on the back foot and taking the fight to some one as terrifying as Wilder seemed irresponsible, obviously now that looks foolish. I think Ben wanted/wants what’s best for Tyson and that’s what he believed

David Saul I can’t tell if your serious or not but anyway....just a couple of facts 1) Tyson fury would NOT be where his is now (comeback wise) without Ben 2) If Ben had it in for Tyson they wouldn’t be friends still 3) Fury got robbed 1st fight! Haye in his prime would have put up a better fight than Wilder. Haye would still lose, but still. Wilder was always going to be caught out by a superior boxer eventually. Well done Tyson!

Tyson Fury now would likely agree with Haye's criticism of him from a few years back. Tyson on more than one occasion has admitted that his attitude toward the sport a few years back was a disgrace.

@@tigerfire8380 Plus Mike Tyson was actually a great technical fighter who could land a flurry of those punches flush. Wilder no way. Fantastic movement, not a boxing expert but haven't seen a smaller heavyweight that could make it look effortless to nullify reach like Mike Tyson did.

Yeah I bet he was buzzing when he found out he needed full shoulder reconstructive surgery that took three years off his career with years of painfull physio costing him millions in ring earnings...

Fury was not as good then, but he would have struggled with the size and awkwardness...but Fury would have struggled with the speed and power of Haye too, but I would have given Fury the edge back then. Fury is getting better and better and he imposes his personality on other fighters. It is very difficult to beat someone so heavy, tall with big reach who knows how to use their height and reach well, not even taking to consideration the movement and unpredictable tactics and moves etc. Joshua does have a chance as he is stronger and more durable than Wilder with better offensive and defensive skills, but Joshua is a lot more orthodox, so Fury might prefer that. Ruiz has the best chance if fit as he is very durable and had good head movement and fast powerful combos...but may struggle if Tyson uses wrestling, plus the new offensive dimension and the height and reach issues... Parker also has a chance as he is durable, powerful and fast...Dubois has a puncher's chance. But if Fury defeats Joshua he is certainly one of the greatest heavyweights as he has stepped up to biggest fighters of his time and showed adaptability.

Haye would of given Fury a way better fighter than wilder did. Prime haye would of beat wilder with ease as well and back then it wasn't a prime Fury yet. So it would of been a close and very good fight

Haye would of been the hardest fight of Tysons career. Klitschko was well past it when fury beat him. Haye was still a force in boxing. No other fight in Tysons career comes close. Wilder is like fighting an amateur compared to haye. Also Tyson wasn't as good back then as he is now. Haye very easily could of won tbh. People forget how good prime Haye was
