In all brutal honesty, I'm not a fan of the singer of Guns and Roses (whom Slash played with). He has some good songs but he's just not the "best" singer...but he is definitely a rock singer which I respect them all. Adam is like, on a high level of being able to sing, but he needs a band to play with and write good songs to sing. He might get there.

George sang with Pavarotti Garth Brooks Tony Bennett Elton John Aretha Franklin Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston Paul McCartney, smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Lisa Stansfield, Mary J Blige the list goes on and on and in any genre you can think of. Yes and this song Adam on his performances always sang differently, tried not to repeat himself.

It was conspired to make Adam Lambert runner up. If you win, you're bound by contract for a year and you have to sing whatever they give you. My guess is Adam wasn't happy with that and he refused to sign the contract. That's why he didn't win.

Personally, I'd say getting to do a few tours singing Queen songs with Brian May and Roger Taylor is a significantly bigger win than a reality television show.

Not strictly correct. This was the first time Zeppelin allowed the song to be performed on a *US* talent show, but a contestant on Australian Idol sang it during an early elimination round two years prior to Adam. And arguably that performance was a better tribute to the Zeppelin original by keeping an honest rock style and not going the glam rock direction. I heard him say it was a BLESSING because he would have been shackled to the AI machine for years. He got the exposure he needed AND the freedom to launch an independent tour. I think taking on Queen has provided the thrill of a lifetime. He travels the world with 2 ROCK GODS while also doing his own thing on the side. I bet that Brian and Roger will bequeath a good portion of Queen's royalties to Adam someday. He's earned it. .He means the world to them.
