Performer JC-70 recumbent trike overview 

I just bought one, July 2018, and the price was about USD $1300.00.

Gamina, how does it handle? I've heard people talking about the front wheels shimmying when you take your hands off the handlebars. They shouldn't do that. The company is supposedly working on fixing it. I'm just wondering if you got one that had that problem fixed yet.

The steering is touchier than I expected, but that may just be because I'm new to recumbent tadpoles. Shimmying sounds like the front wheels are toed out a little. Adjusting them inward is supposed to fix that.

Gamina, thanks. It's not a toe in/ out adjustment problem. I've test ridden a few other brand trikes, and noticed something similar, but that's only with my hands on the steering handles. The people on some of the other videos, and commenters are talking about a problem when they either loosen their grip or take their hands off the steering handles. There shouldn't be a problem when one let's go of the steering handles. Have you tried that yet? They should just track straight with no shimmying if you're on level smooth pavement.

I think the Performers are the cheapest of the really well-built trikes. There may be pricing shown on the website shown briefly during the video: www.performer.com.tw. At Lightfoot, the Performer 70 is around $1650 US, with extras for mirrors, etc., that you sign up for on the order form. I'll let you make the conversion to Canadian dollars because I don't have up-to-date figures. I am thinking about that trike, also. They will give you a bargain on shipping in the U. S. but I don't know what you get into for shipping to Canada. It looks to me like that website (tw) is Taiwan, and I know that's where they're made. Maybe if you go to that site, they will give you an order form and a contact form to learn the price through email. I hadn't known about that website, so it's educational for me, too.
