Here's a basic overview of a jc20 recumbent trike assembly. For detailed coverage of the jc20 (and jc70 assembly) check out Bob Nagy's lengthy video on the subject: • JC-70/20 Assembly .
First of all you'll receive your trike in a standard box. The sequence we follow is we put the back wheel on, attach the crossmember. Tighten the bolts.Put the tie rod in place to set up the steering.
Then measure the correct length for the boom and tighten the bolts. Unpack the chain (using gloves) and put it through the tubing.
Then there is the all-important joining of the chain with the quick release link. Take careful not that both plates of the quick release link are aligned and completely fitted to the groove in the pins. We show you the tools we use to complete this.
Threading the front derailleur cables through the cable housing
Pull through on the front derailleur then tighten.
Attach the FRP shell, then the headrest.
A rear rack is always a handy addition.
Taping the bar grips will take a little practice.
Threading the rear derailleur cable through the shifter and cable housing.
Pull the cable through and tighten the bolt.
Close to completion, we just need the seat cushion.
