I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

There a bunch of small details that people miss without knowing the history of both groups or their positions. The opening part with Joshua and Aron, aka both groups native english speaker and LA resident, followed by Jeonghan and Ren, aka their groups resident angel visuals (and both debuted with very long hair), later on with the tunnel set with Dokyeom, Seungkwan and Baekho, showing the power main vocals that are Pledis, and the final set piece, of Seungcheol and Jonghyun reaching out to each other and circling each other before talking through their members, the two leaders finally becoming equals once again

This was just such a legendary performance by the Pledis boys that was unfortunately ruined by probably one of the worst camera work to ever appear at an award show. I still get angry thinking about how amazing this performance could've been if the camera work was better. Seriously, I feel like the director was drunk when they did the cameras, the timing was off, they kept focusing on the wrong person performing, did way too many audience and drone shots that missed all the incredible choreo work. I'm just glad Pledis actually released a dance practice so we can see it better.

Sadly it's not the first time and i really wonder if they just take random ppl from the street or what?! Like some stupid fancams shows much better quality than so called professional video. It's really irritating, for me it's also disrespect to hard work of the groups. This thing is problem from very long time because even BTS made special video for those camera operators how to do it properly and it was at 2015, yet they still didn't learn :I

Esther Tan yeah MAMA award shows have had terrible camera work over the years but MAMA Japan 2017 was particularly bad. It’s wasn’t just this performance they ruined but pretty much majority of that nights. MNet really needs to look in to hiring a better crew.

fun fact! in 8:09 and 14:58, those are seungcheol (s.coups) and jr, both leaders in their respective groups. therefore that part is to show the merge of the two groups lead by their leaders. also, the last part, the two of them are the only ones standing as well as the leaders and idk that's just so cool THEIR MINDS

Such a legendary moment ruined. Good thing Pledis released a dance practice for all of Their special performances,

When they sing "blow your mind", that's exactly what this song does. There's so many things to say about it that I'm not going to bother, other than to say that this remains one of my favourite performances in K-pop of ALL TIME and Pledis are the biggest COWARDS for not releasing a studio version. Especially because I love both groups so SO much, and the song itself is a masterpiece !!! The only shame like you said is that it wasn't really possible for solos for everyone. Ps I would have killed to see this at MAMA 😭❤

there's actually a lot of imagery in this one, for example in 14:58, the two dancers holding hands in the middle are s.coups and JR, who are seventeen and nuest's leaders. and then in 6:01, the 3 people are seungkwan, dk, and baekho from nuest, they are the main vocalists that's killing those high notes

OK NOW YOU HAVE TO REACT TO NU'EST!!! They also produce their own songs (Baekho) I recommend starting with Bet Bet or I'm in Trouble but their older songs are so good too (pre-produce 101) Overcome, Love Paint! Fun fact: s.coups was supposed to debut with them but didn't and became the leader of SVT.

A few minutes ago, SEVENTEEN released the MV teaser 1 of Left and Right and I was really amazed at the same time proud♥️. Then you drop this💛Thank you. *Baekho is the one who owned that high notes💛NUE'ST are so talented, I mean all of Pledis' artists are talented. Pledis is known for being a tough company. Pledis is voted as one of the company who give hardest trainings to idols. NUE'ST and SEVENTEEN are the proof that CEO Han's standard is exceptional.

Also: one of their members, Ren, is about to premier in a version of the musical called "Everybody’s Talking About Jamie". The story is about a 17yo student who dreams to become a drag queen. With Ren, there will also be ASTRO's MJ, Shin Joo Hyup (actor) and Jo Kwon (who was from the group 2AM) ;D

Heaven is impressively fascinating because of the number of people it has, the synchronization and the vocals... I can't believe you haven't watched Lilili Yabbay yet. Altough it's performed only by Seventeen's performance team, so they lack in numbers, they cover this deficiency by dancing like professionals. They even performed it on American television, please react to it you'll only be amazed! Also I'd be really happy if you checked more Nu'Est content!

seventeen are just... amazing at subtlety. they have so many like little moments in their best choreographies that are so like almost impactful in their gentleness, y'know? idk how to describe it. but they're great at blowing you away with hard hits, and then making you feel like you're ascending on a cloud with these gorgeous subtle and often simple visual moments..... they're really really amazing. oh man i could talk about svt's genius subtlety all day, really

The part with JR and S.Coups gives me chills every time. S.Coups was supposed to debut with NU'EST and was held back (find SVT members in past NU'EST MVs!!) and I just imagine what it would be like with S.Coups in NU'EST and SVT without their leader.
