Performer Reacts to GOT7 "Eclipse" Dance Practice + MV 

If you look for extreme synchronization I don’t think you’ll find it in GOT7 anymore. Their earlier stuffs, like Fly for example, definitely yes. But even Yugyeom admits that GOT7’s members come from different dance background and have such strong personalities that they would rather put their own flavors into the dance instead. I think that’s why when I watch them dance, everyone sticks out because no one dances like another. They mostly focus on sequences and team works. So yeah, for some one who emphasizes synchronization like you, you won’t be 100% satisfied with GOT7 unfortunately. But that’s their style and I do believe that they kind of like it that way. They never fix it since 2017.

GOT7 never go all out in their dance practice, they're more chill ! but they do give it all and are synchronized during comeback shows or award shows lol ! but it's definitely one of their hardest choreo ... and spinning top is their best album in my opinion. check out If you do or Hard carry :)

Not that they have mentioned it but in most of Got7s dance practice they usually out of sync, not that they are bad I guess they are more relaxed. Live stages are when they go into a more professional mode.

what's interesting with GOT7 is you can definitely see their dance styles or individuality in their movements even though they do the same choreo... i think this is why their synchronization is not at every movement of the choreo specially in the 1st part of the chorus heheheh it kinda shows frustration or struggle (by the lyrics and choreo) and the memebers express that differently ... i guess that's why ... got7 is that group where you could just tell by their movement who's who... LOVE

Yugyeom took part in making this choreography btw! The reason it’s more on the complicated side is because he wanted to create a choreography that can’t be performed without all 7 members involved. 🥺

It’s filmed the way it is for TV shows they create their choreos keeping in mind that the camera is moving. Also I what I like with their choreos is that all 7 of them are dancers but they all have different style like JB is more bboyish Jackson leans more toward hip hop, Yugyeom is more leaning towards house with a lot of popping and hip hop to it and bam bam is a mix of them all like the other members. So they all have their own flavor dancing but still are in sync. Also their choreo are also very often telling a story like this one. It literally goes with the lyrics of the songs who talks about anxiety struggle and holding on as a team.

All of the members dance different stylistically, which takes away from the "synchronization" sometimes, but I think it makes them unique. They usually are more relaxed during the dance practices, and go all out during actual live performances. Please react to Crash & Burn (Studio Choom) and Aura (Dingo)!

I remember at that time got7 were touring like every year AND also did Come back so like I think it was the same for lullaby so yeah their synchronisation isn't that good but i still liked the fact that they always try new things for us and this Come back was really meaningful for us and them

They don’t really do “synchronized” dance practices, and I think that’s pretty cool I don’t think it has to be all the way together for a dance practice, because they go all out on music shows and ect So if you continue to watch more Got7 especially the dance practices I would tell you don’t expect synchronization all the way

The thing about GOT7 they always have something new to show, you can never get bored. *Talents*

the dance itself isn’t suppose to be as synchronized because they’re on a “titling stage” hence the album being called spinning top. and they tend to be more relaxed for dance practices as it’s a content for fans to enjoy, not to be detailed and examined... but anyways GOT7 comeback soon🙌🏽

*Also as a dancer I differ from your POV synchronization and hard/fast choreo doesn’t show anything about dancing abilities. It’s probably because you’re more of a classical dancer where it has to be precise and sharp but as a hip hop dancer and like most of them are keeping your own flavor is very important, it’s actually better ( in my opinion) to keep each dancer’s identity instead of forcing them to align to appear as one dancer only. The rendition of the moves ( in hip hop) are more chilly and fluid so sometimes precise choreos can’t won’t have the same effect. Which a lot group tend to do.* Also their music style leans toward a more chill side they’re not about hard & loud songs so of course the choreo will be smooth too. plus when performing live the member singing actually have like 2-3 steps less demanding when he has to pull of his line to be able to keep the breath control, you have to remind that they’re one of the few only performing these types of demanding choreos without backtrack so demanding 100%, so that’s what you actually peeped when you noticed Jackson walking when delivering his lines. You really need to watch more of their choreographies and live stages to understand how they’re functioning. But yeah while performing this indeed one of their hardest choreos because of the levels. Hard Carry/ Fly and If you Do are also very tight with this.

If you want a laugh you should watch the dance practice version directed by Jackson 😁

yea they’re not the most synchronized, but their energy on stage is one of the best eclipse and look are few of my fav choreos and they’re all pretty talented dancers, a lot of members help choreograph, and they sometimes learn it on plane flights on their tours

I remember Jinyoung saying that Eclipse in particular is like doing crossfit 😅 JB & Yugyeom were saying that after performing Eclipse live it made them realize they can probably sing and run at full speed at the same time.

From got7 I definitly recommand to watch and react to : if you do, hard carry and never ever. One beside song from them that I really really love for the choreography is crash and burn ! "Studio choom" has released a dance video that is just perfect, their synchronization in it is on point, I wish you could check it out and react to it !! (+ they're handsome in their costumes in this video) Love your videos !!

This was the year I became a fan. This song and MV resonated so much with my dark headspace at the time. I kept repeating the line "I'm gonna win this fight" so much. It saddens me that Eclipse doesn't get as much love as their other title tracks!!

Yeah, GOT7 has tough choreographies in Kpop and they're one group that loves acrobatic moves especially on their earlier debut days. You gotta watch their earlier debut MV's and dance practices like I Like You, Around The World, If You Do, Hard Carry, and Crash & Burn.

Because the more here the more i felt like got7 wasn't a 'kpop group' but just a pure artists, like they don't follow trend, they make music just like what they like, yes they wasn't the best at synchronization but their choreograph always pure art, the music they produce always fresh gosh they have vast wide discography, that's why the more here they just laid back with their dance and just have fun in stage or in practice you know

Jeff, they're having a comeback this November 30, 2020! They will have two title tracks: Breath (Youngjae participated in its lyrics and in composing) and it will be pre-released on the 23rd and LAST PIECE (Jaebeom participated in its lyrics and in composing). The full length album will be released on the 30th. It has ten tracks and all seven members worked on one track in this album!

id recommend hard carry! btw, they are more relaxed during their dance practices compared to other groups bc they like to have fun, if you watch live performances they go all out and are very synchronised!

I thought Jeff noticed but Got7 Dance Practices are very chill they aren't like newer groups who go hard ...also many of them were serious dancers and had injuries they can't go hard at all times I'm still amazed at how great they dance still and I hope that they will remain as healthy as possible 💚

Now that you've seen Road to Kingdom, I highly recommend checking out the original Hard Carry. It's wayyy harder choreo than what you're used to from Got7 and it'd be interesting to compare & contrast with TOO's version from the show.

I feel like a good number of got7 did other types of dance before being trainees and/or had other backgrounds in some type of movement and that leads them to have more individual dance styles more like a dance team. They also are usually not as scycronized during dance practices.

Hard carry dance practice is epic I recommend

Got7 have many dance practices btw! Also they are more into tricking and doing cool things rather then trying to be synchronized in their dances. They all have different backgrounds that they use to come together as Got7. Jackson has described them as different colors of a rainbow that come together as one for their music as well as their dancing. That’s one thing that’s consistent with them. They are actually trying NOT to be super in sync with each other bc that doesn’t show their color, which is laid back but still enjoying what they do.
