The reason the camera fell off is because as he overtook the LMP, the aerodynamics of the LMP creates a turbulent wind, offsetting the balance of the camera and encouraging a thermoreaction in the form of centrifugal force and I have no idea what I'm talking about but I love the video! I wish I cou...Read more
Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one’s view’s and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one’s valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
Fajar Alamsyah Because of the huge height difference going around the track. Many of the turns are blind with crests in the turns so it would be very dangerous for any vehicle without proper suspension. At least when it's going at speed. I mean, I did it in my mk1 focus with a1.6 16v engine. Definitely not race material but without a doubt one of those bucket list things. The green hell is just pure motorsport history and awesomeness. I would marry it if I could.
Vehicle costs around 27'000€, the total value of all the vehicles he passes ~1'000'000€, the look on the other drivers' faces when they get overtaken by this little beast - PRICELESS!
Hope people can see others are just parade lapping. See the last car he (was) passing could easily pull away on the straight. But great footage anyway.
I was shocked for the first second because I thought you got air time, exactly like the unlucky driver from older LeMans when he moved out from slipstream...when did you go to find your camera? : )
Some say the the camera is still recording to this day and the finder will gain much Hockenheim knowledge while testicles doubling in size.....some say.
Ein "großes Superkart", geht wie "die wilde Sau"... Fährt bis zum Abflug alles in Grund und Boden! -- Den möchte ich mal in Monaco ins Formel 1 - Feld mogeln!
Calling this thing a Kart is a bit of a stretch. It's more like a small race car than a Kart. Anyone wondering what it is, it's called an Elkmann Performer.
its obvious most of those people lifted to let him pass... Nobody who is driving a normal sized car, gt car or racecar is going to risk racing hard with a Kart. The slightest mistake could kill the guy in the Kart, so yeah most of these people just let him go by so that they dont end up in a really bad situation...
This is odd........ That's (supposedly) a 750cc Suzuki GSRX........ but it's a SLOWER lap time than a PROPER 250cc Superkart! It has a max speed SLOWER than a 250cc Superkart too. Can I prove that........ ?? Yes. I'll attach or list a RU-vid video of a 2014 race kart race at Hockenheim. Lap time 1.39.8, fastest top speed.... 236mph. A 750 would be a HEAVY lump of metal to drag around...... the 250 twin is NOT! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dCfalwm3Rqw.html
this was not a real race. i dont know why everyone is saying that he is passing everyone like nothing. look at the spacing of the groups of cars, that should be a dead give away that this is not a race. I am sure all of these cars are privately owned and guys with a F series and a LMP are just out there just to get a few laps. those cars have much louder exhaust so if they were racing how come you cant hear them. oh and 230 km/h is only 140 MPH, most of your average road legal cars can do this. the F series and LMP's are meant for 200 MPH plus, thats 320 km/h by the way. if you take a few minutes to look around you can go to a Go Kart track and race at these speeds so stop being so impressed by this and go spend a few buck to do this yourself. I have and its a little scary the first time but fun.
matthew vital you’re right in some way... yes, it’s an open pre season track day where you can bring what you have. Not a race! Interesting and comparable for me are laptimes. And in fact this vid shows how you consider to other cars compared to the Performer. Not more and not less. Topspeeds aren’t the most important thing. Breaking and corner speeds are more important for good laptimes.
Formula Ultralight = Well,, I have never done rides like yours but just looking at 500cc MOTOGP bikes frame they are similar or same like go-kart frames ( steel solid frame). What I was trying to say is that less weight = more power and speed. Honestly I would use go-kart structure with a Suzuki hayabusa 1300cc with turbo. It would go 350km/h + in no time. ( also it would cost less)
It probably needs the beefy frame to handle the extra power and weight of the motor. If you've ever seen someone put a sport bike engine on a normal kart chassis, it's good for burnouts and not much else.
