Thanks mate! Yeah I think more dynamic and reactive patches, even for something simple as an fx send, is helping it come to life.

@@truecuckoo truly! I've had a lot of fun doing something similar with a resonating equalizer, where I patched in some conditional movement on the amount of feedback sent to the eq. It is also just really inspiring to see it interacting with the live acoustic input of your voice, so thanks a lot again!

The app is called Rhymer’s Block, and it’s a song lyrics app. It automatically highlights words that rhyme, and displays a list of rhyming words for inspiration in real-time as you type.

Have you seen how small Bestie actually is? Yes, pan/balance could be there, but mute switches would have to be removed. There is just no space for additional controls/features… Sure, you can get more features for “better price” buying a “small” noname/behringer/… mix, but they all will be much bigger. You can get more features in similar size with TX-6, but that’s 5 times more expensive. Bestie has a full metal case and high quality potentiometers and other components, we just wanted to make the best smallest stereo mixer for a reasonable price so here it is ☺️ (I’m writing “we”, because I’m the main developer of Bestie.)

@@vaclav_mach ya, I've seen it. I have eyes. Your response literally makes me sick to my stomach. It's the size it is because "they", i.e "you", made it that size. "They", i.e "you", could have added a single centimetre in one dimension to accommodate the knob, you realise that right ? ... Or are you trying to pretend your design brief is that restrictive ? ... A DUDE 2.0 with stereo pan / balance and a stereo output would have been a much better product. Have you seen the size of DUDE btw ? ... It's also quite disgusting to discontinue to DUDE to make way for this. Was that your idea too ?

​@@DD-co1zn Actually, stereo pots would add at least 18mm to the size. And since Bestie is around 68mm in depth, that would make it 25% bigger than it is. That would mean bigger and more expensive metal case and PCB, you need to add the price of five pots (+knobs) and pay someone to solder the extra parts. We had a lot of talks what to include and what to omit over a year ago and we decided to go the most compact way (depth is basically same as Dude and width just a bit larger - even though it includes much more than 2 times of stuff than Dude). Some people would love to see a master volume as well - but that's the same thing with paning. Yes, it would have more features. But you can't just say it would be a "better" product. Because for many people size, weight and price is more important feature than panning. About Dude - we weren't happy to discontinue it - but every day it gets harder and harder to manufacture stuff for reasonable prices. If you are thinking Bastl is making these decisions to swim in money... That's not true at all. We are just trying to make cool products for reasonable prices. And we would like to continue doing it in the future. If you have an idea how to make a "Dude 2.0" with panning and sell it much cheaper, nobody is stopping you from doing it. But we decided to make Bestie like this.

@@vaclav_mach perhaps that could have been your first reply. You know I have at least 16 Bastl products around my room here, supporting since your first products. It's this simple ... Panning / balance is not a radical desire for a mixer. Certainly not a radical desire for a 220 euro mixer that supercedes a previous mixer. How many mixer iterations must you go through, and at what expense, until something as radical as panning / balance makes it into the design brief ... And how many Bastl products must I purchase before I earn the right to express my disappointment in a non-radical fashion ? At the end of the day, you set the design briefs - the design brief is not forced on you. If you want to make a song and dance about gun metal casing, Yadda Yadda, and a non-musical in-built feedback gimmick ... Fine, you're entitled to do so. But spare me the sanctimonious sensitivity when you're confronted with something less than mindless, sycophantic praise and you decide to throw your toys out of the pram because someone thinks your next, and price upgraded, mixer iteration should have had something as rudimentary panning / balance in the design brief. Something where a little goes a very long way and would have application in pretty much every sound / music task & genre imaginable ... As opposed to internal feedback shenanigans - useful in noisecore sets and little else. Signing out.

My 3500 EUR PlayDifferently Model 1 mixer does not have any pan/balance, not even normalized ins for mono signals... I do not want to say that I am happy about this, rather that this is a pb with many stereo mixers.
