People usually apply more because their brain stops tracking the scent because it has remained the same, giving the person wearing it the impression that it has worn off when really people smell it 5 minutes after said person walks by. But technically saying if something else can breathe in other gases that are poisonous to humans, but not harmful to the things that can breathe in this harmful "air"--- to humans then in terms there is poisonous air. An example would be carbon monoxide. There are organisms that use carbon monoxide, but is harmful for us, making it poisonous. But for that organism, oxygen is harmful to them. so oxygen is poisonous to that organism. And also technically speaking it is called toxic air to those organisms because oxygen is secreted by plants. Methane gas is harmful to humans and can be secreted from cows. So technically they produce a toxic air that is poisonous to humans.

It is all around us and almost identical around the world. a place with different atmospheres (such as a cave, or places with high volcanic activity) or different atmospheric compositions, are the exception, not the norm, and those places do not have air, even if there are creatures there that can survive in it.

Opinions on scents is highly biased with personal history. Smell is the sense most closely related to memory. She probably had a really good boyfriend at one time that wore Aqua Velva. Probably lots of senior citizens she was around in her youth used something similar to Clubman. All the girls in her high school she thought were slutty probably sprayed Febreze in their gym lockers. You never know what might be biasing her opinions.

I've met people who like the "pheonix" version of axe. i use the spray and rub on types but the spray is stupid it only lasts 45 min tops. the rub on version lasts all day, possibly a day and a half. axe and febreeze to me is similar with the chemical substances. but generally speaking all of this is natural coming from Earth. if you met me, you would have never known i was using axe.

Why not someone has to test it? I'm more surprised she made a full time job out of it. I thought it was like this with perfume too, but where I live there's a place called bryles research and they test many different things. Anyway they get random people and you can only test once every so many months for money.

I'd say it's sort of in the same vein as why we have wine experts: an untrained person wouldn't necessarily be able to tell which wine might be good or bad (depending on the situation), so it stands to reason that a perfume expert might be needed for something similar.

NekoErinB its well known. I use axe pheonix. But i don't drench myself like middle-school kids. Some women like the musk smell. Some don't. if not a 4, i would give axe a 3.9/5. It is better than cheaper of the cheaper brands. Remember this is the cheap scent tier, not the expensive scent tier. if it was the expensive tier, it would be lucky to get a 2/5. febreeze would get a 0/5 and so on.

Once, when I was out of hand soap, I washed my hands using Axe body wash, and I immediately regretted it. The scent was so strong that it clung to me for nearly two days afterwards! Guys might not get how strong it is because women have a better sense of smell though. A basic deodorant is all they need!

Just visited home about a week ago, and I was planning on my bf and I staying at my house, but there was a death in the family and I ended up staying at his house. I hadn't brought shower stuff with me cuz I was just going to use my mom's, but since I wasn't at home I had to use my bf's stuff. He uses the axe phoenix shampoo. I have to say that a little bit does go a long way, and that it isn't quite so bad for me now. He and I don't use a lot of it at once, and tend not to mix and match the same brand. We both use simple soaps and deodorants, so there was no overpowering smell. I think it's the greatest thing ever.
