Reviewing another Armani/Privé fragrance, 'Ambre Eccentrico' and talking about fragrance industry supply chain issues. www.aaronterencehughes.co.uk Instagram - AaronTerenceHughes Music: Sleepdebt - I C U #FragranceReview #ArmaniPrivé
When people say Grand Soir is the best amber ever, I tell them that haven’t tried enough amber fragrances. Grand Soir is great but this fragrance and others are even better.
Aaron, I could listen to you speak for hours ❤ I’m very new to fragrance, got a bottle of By Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad Extreme which lasts exactly 62 mins on my skin 🙄 and now I’m just looking for my signature scent. I love watching your videos and then checking my bank account to see what I can manage hahahaha! No, but truly, you are so vibrant and wonderful to listen to, thank you! And gorgeous, but you already knew that! 😘😘
Always getting the best reviews from you, I would really like for you to review Montale Honey Oud, I'm interested as to what's inside that fragrance it's so alluring to me
Sad about the raw materials, this is exactly how big companies kill small ones. You have our support Aaron, we'll keep buying your fragrances even after they will be different than what they were, I'm sure you'll find a way despite these challenges. Just keep doing what you love, waiting for that summer release as you did with High Voltage last year⚡😎
Great Review. I love almost every fragrance in the Armani Prive line. Oud Royal is my signature scent around the holidays and would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Would love to see a couple of reviews by you of Lattafa. I have Some of these cheapies, as well as designer and niche fragrances - I enjoy all of them...would love to know your thoughts on the cheaper end of the spectrum.
This is to me like a full spectrum incense fragrance both the freshly dipped and the ashy aspects with a blanket of sweetness that also somehow expresses the color pink. This is a love.
Received my sample of this in the mail. Haven’t tried it on yet but it smells GODLY from the outside of the 5ml bottle. I feel like a 100ml purchase is in my near future ❤
From the notes, this one interests me but unfortunately I haven't been able to find a sample of it anywhere here in the uk and I haven't been drunk enough to blind buy it yet. You'd think these companies would want people to try their fragrances!
Aaron! I noticed in your review for Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather (non-Parfum) that you appeared to rub your wrists together after spraying it on. I was wondering what your stance on rubbing wrists together was as a perfumer - is it as bad as we’ve been lead to believe, or can it be done in moderation?
Can you substitute it with Galaxolide? My company makes raw materials for fragrance companies like IFF, Symrise, Givaudan and there are still supply chain issues getting starting raw materials to make musk like Hanbolide as well as several others… It’s so rare you give any fragrance a 10 so I feel I must buy this!! 🥰👍🏼
Im watching all your videos and you really are inspiring me a lot. I loved weird odd fragrances since i was a little child. Now I want to learn how to create fragrances. Can you please give me some advice on how and where i can start? I would appricate it a lot. Thank you.
This one is on my wishlist. Also, two things: the caps are said to be made of resin (more upscale), not plastic, and eccentrico is just like the English word eccentric with an ‘o’ tacked on the end; eccentric not not electric.
i get you aaron, i know the feeling. habanolide is great for me. and only 1 supplier has it yet here in US. if it goes out of stock then we have to exert our creativity as perfumers. and yes sometimes that means reformulating. i know its not a pleasant news sometimes but. maybe as you are a chemist, could you reach out to people or companies that could make a captive with similar structure to habanolide? just a thought, it may be more harder than my quick suggestions or expensive. but you are well known.
Never tried this…looks like I’ll have to pick up a decant! On a side note, I wore Tabac Thursday night for a night out with my wife. One spray on each side of the neck…no more. I could smell it the next morning and all the way to the evening! Talk about ROBUST!!!
It's my understanding that "definitely so," but I think the industry decided it works more against their marketing, than for it, in the end. Imagine if you couldn't see the difference in color between Aventus (sorry for that example) and Black Afgano. The visual matters to people more than prudence.
Hi Aaron, You said heat damages a fragrance, what about post delivery during hot summer day (40degreee cels)? Does it affect the scent or only a longer period of time in heat. Thx
Hey Aaron, did you manage to figure out the issue with Habanolide? Did u get word back from Fir? I was kind of shocked to hear, cause almost all of my current compostitons feature this Musk. Absolutely love it. Now I don't have a business like u have, I just started out a few years ago, so I don't need as large quantities but still.. Any news?
This is a headache topic. Ive magaged to change suppliers and create my own Habanolide Alternative. Ferminish are a poor company for not treating there customers with respect
@@AaronTerenceHughes damn, that's really a shame. Well we'll see what happens if my supplier runs out too. I'll contact them and see how much in stock they've left..
I had two women chase me down in Dillards department store a couple years back when I was wearing this fragrance. They took notes when I told them the name so they didn’t forget😂
I'm not sure if you have or havnt, but a review of Jazz Club by Maison Margiela would be interesting. If you've covered it already o can't find the video :)
@@sabrinam6895 interesting, I find it one of the fragrances I find myself actively/addictively sniffing on myself throughout the day. Everyone's nose is different I guess
@@zenttofrizzy8479 when did you try it? It has been heavily reformulated over the years and isn't as good as it once was BUT you should trust your own nose and if you prefer grand soir then that's all good. I've got grand soir too, I think it's a "cool" amber. Like, a lot of Ambers will be "warm" but I find grand soir cooling in its effect 🤔
@@RichMitch i don’t know it did grow on me a little bit but clearly not bottle worthy for my i’ve also tried ambre 114 from histoire de parfums I look forward to try elie saab ambre by francis kurkdjian it was discontinued but the boutique in paris said that it will be soon available in few days
I tested this out today and hated it. I smelled a nice gourmand scent in the background which was totally dominated by a funky, medicinal, and off-putting note. didn't work out of my skin
I've kept my fragrances in my bathroom (in a cupboard, away from light) for more than 20 years, none of them ever gone bad. So can't agree with you there. Some of my fragrances are 10+ years old.
I was so sad when I tried this and hated it. To me it smelled like urinal cake and I don’t know why. This also happened with a Prada fragrance called dark light which is also an amber. Does anyone know what causes that smell?
Very disturbing about the supply chain issue. I don't need to get political to point out that there's a coordinated effort to create economic instability everywhere. Extending all the way to the fragrance industry now. I couldn't get a full third of my usual groceries over the past two weeks. They're doing a great job at dismantling the world, getting us all used to third world living.
