You have no idea of the rabbit hole I’ve fallen in because of you. I've been watching all your Videos for the last 3 Days, educating myself on the different Raw materials there are and its effects on the final Product. I find it fascinating from a chemistry standpoint but also from a creative standpoint. Not only that, but I guess I just wanted to just write this down, and thank you for this type of content.
Aaron, love your content, it is so unique and captivating. Learning something every time I watch you. Please keep doing what you're doing - it is appreciated so much.
When I smelt this and sprayed it in the store, I had to get this a few days later...I tried this at the same time as I tried Armani Code absolu, witch I bought about a year and a half ago, after it was discontinued and before the prices went up.
#1 Problem I have is, I don't want to smell like everyone else, I would like something Spicy, OUD, citrus yet soft, I find myself sometimes mixing cologne sometimes it works sometimes not, any ideas?
Hi Aaron. Really love all your content on YT. One of my favourite all time favourite fragrances is Rivè D’Ambre by Tom Ford. It has huge sentimental value to me but sadly it’s been discontinued. Do have a recommendation on something similar? Hope you’re well.
I love Le Parfum for myself , not for the husband ! :) On a winter sweater it feels so cosy ! :)) I suspect I would like this one as well ? I'm confusing the bottles ...
I personally like that they all smell rather similar because I love the base DNA and it allows me to find the one or two that I like the most and buy just those. More choices are always better imo
Speaking of patchouli and marketability, I just finished an iteration of a patchouli-based project, and I feel like I can never quite decipher patchouli. It's so multifaceted, different oils smell so different, different degrees of age and different processes, fractions this and rectified that, all the way down to clearwood. There are so many different directions to take it, but sometimes I catch a bit of the 80s patchouli, or rather the 80s-fragrance-in-the-2020s fragrance, after it's been reformulated to sell for $10/bottle, and then I can understand why it wouldn't sell (though I suspect the prejudice is more people's impression that it's a foul thing hippies wear). I love when it can be dark and woody, but retain so much distinctive earthiness. In this one of mine I'm trying to give it a smooth, dark, slightly sweet base, while keeping the wet, herbal-aromatic patchouli earthiness on top of that.
Hi Aaron, I’m a massive Oud fan, and I thought you sold all your Oud fragrances in a box set, but I can’t find it on your website. Can you let me know pls
la nuit de l'homme is easily one of my favourites, but it only lasts a couple hours it seems. I havent tried like 7 sprays of it because it feels like it would melt my nose, but I gotta try this EDP
Aaron Terence Hughes....I have a NEW fragrance you MUST REVIEW! Jean-Paul Gaultier "Le Male Elixir". A true masterpiece!!! I am anxious to hear your thoughts, you will not regret taking the time to review this one.
Hello. No we have closed the shop due to a lack of space. When we get the second Unit we will reopen but we will be doing events and Il be teaching perfumery to small groups and all proceeds going to an autism charity.
I don't think anyone would take you saying you're getting bored as criticism. Obviously this company is capitalising on the fact that people love this DNA and they release the same fragrance with just little tweaks under different names so they can milk the initial success of the first fragrance... This is not to say the perfumer who created it can't do better work, or doesn't know how to work on other styles of fragrances
I’ve yet to smell the Bleu electrique, but other than that this is the only one of the line that smells like a flanker. Everything else just seems like a separate fragrance altogether.
I have no idea what is what with line, I bought one that was a black bottle, could have sworn it had the same name. And was edp. Anyway I tanked it in no time, no projection and not even a skin scent after a few minutes
I agree with you Aaron, this scent is boring. In fact, the entire line is awfully boring to me, the original DNA is just super generic and uninspired, it has absolutely no personality. Just get a cheap Antonio Banderas, Jaguar, Bugatti or whatever, nobody's gonna notice the difference anyways. None of these scents are worth the YSL pricetag.
