I never listened to this song when I was into the album back when it came out, I just assumed it was a short ending track and then a long period of silence and a gag reel at the end or some shit like that. I return now to atone for my sins.

I think Racecar is the height of Periphery. They are still a great band now, i completely love the progression to the Juggernaut's but Racecar is just a masterpiece all around.

First time I heard this song, I was floored. Changed my life forever.

You know when you haven't played Halo CE in a long time, and you play again and see the Forerunner structures shooting beams of blue light into the sky and just say "Wow that's beautiful"? That's how this song makes me feel, especially at 12:42. I just get this feeling of nostalgia and mystery and awe all at once, and Halo CE is the only thing that has ever given me the same feeling. I hope someone else can relate.

Periphery's best song ever, and one of the finest djent tracks ever recorded. So many interesting chord progressions and rhythms. 9:11-10:49 still gets me everytime.

13:40 i'm crying. People arguing that Reptile, Ragnarok, Scarlet and shit are the best Periphery song, but they don't shit against this

I am SOOO lucky to have seen this song performed live in 2010. A moment I will always cherish. I just wish that when more youtube reactors did Periphery, that theyd react to this instead of Marigold and Reptile. This, in my opinion, is absolute PEAK Periphery, and the band hits on all fronts on this track.

For me this is a perfect example of what progressive metal should be. Unusual melodies and odd time signatures are NOT sound too weird. All parts are connected with each other. Damn, I love this song

Been listening to prog metal for over two decades now and can hear a bit of DT, Rush, Meshuggah, etc in each stanza. Love the arpeggios, hate some of Spencer's 'whiny emo' moments. That all being said, like a great flick this is fifteen minutes that goes by *very* quickly. Truly an EPIC song that's become one of my favorites.

Honestly, I love this song. I always listened to it when I went jogging. I would often finish my nightly jog and the song would still be playing. Brilliant just listening to one song and not having to change it half way through the jog!

This is their Magnum Opus. The riff at 9:55 is better than 99% of all music ever created. I love this song so much.

This song has a lot of great ideas, but the over all execution isn't very good, it's just a riff salad that goes on forever with no real direction.

This song should be titled "Time to take it back to the rehearsal room kids" by far most epic metal song ever. Hands down....nothing else even in the stratosphere with it 😎

This might have been where prog/tech death metal/djent peaked. Like honestly the sickest parts of all the influences are on full display here, but nothing sounds jacked from other artists... a fucking masterpiece.
