@Walter B it's airy, and you can hear the strain from his voice, how can you say that it was pitch shifted lol like, **obviously** if someone layers their vocals, that **totally** means that they have it pitch corrected you want to know what was blatently pitch corrected in this song? 5:33 -- 5:35. That is obviously autotuned pitch correction, it's quite a few steps lower than what we hear at 5:49. And so what? if at 4:00 it is? Every artist uses at least a little production on their voice? To just be ignorant to that just proves even more that you're just a troll that's typing that just hoping to get validation. Like get over that belief perseverance that is clouding your judgement. He uses reverb and shit like that that make his voice sound crispier (if anyone else gets what I mean.) Does that mean they don't have talent? No. I think personally Spencer does create a lot of hard vocal lines that he won't always be able to hit or do with the pacing of the song and the placing of the lyrics on a mediocre day (and he would really need to practice to be able to do it every show,) but that does nothing in this argument whatsoever. And even if it did matter in this situation nobody is perfect and Periphery's studio sounding songs are arguably top notch and is widely respected in the metal community, their production is one of the best from what I hear a lot of the time especially now. They kill live, but a guitar is a totally different instrument than a voice but they're both wielded by humans. If you wanted to say you're not a fan of Spencer that's fine because everyone has different tastes and preferences but like you're just straight up wrong. But what do I know, I'm just a teenager that's a fan of music ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here! He has has such a pure voice with such raw emotion in it. It's unlike anything I've heard. He's extremely talented and the fact he's completely self taught makes him all the more impressive. His change between PI and PII went from tons of pitch correction to no pitch correction. He's only grown since.

This is just the vocal stem track from the official P4 stem tracks. It is impossible to isolated vocals from a full track without any phase issues/emptiness/other sonic artifacts popping up lol. But this does highlight Spencer's insane singing skills :D

@@sohamjoshi9353 Idk, you can hear the vocal strain, I’m pretty sure he sang it. But Spencer’s did say he pitch corrects his backing harmonies, so he probably did sing it. (He doesn’t pitch correct his lead vocal)

compression, eq, reverb, delay, saturation, and sometimes soft tuning, these are staples in pretty much every genre of music.

yeah its called processing. It's how you make things sound good regarding music production and mixing. None of them effect the performance necessarily, just the experience. Spencer still has to hit these notes and sing with proper tamber and articulation for this product.

Yes and no, misha said in his livestream of satellites' demo, spencer uses tuning, but the plugin finds it very hard to pickup spencer's voice because of the natural distortion his voice has. (Yes even when singing clean), so Spencer really still has to hit those notes and the tuning plugin will probably only adjust a couple of cents (like around 5)
