Wow guys, that's a kick to the gut. No one got hurt, that's the good thing, and the things in the shed can be replaced. Hopefully insurance will cover some of it.
Sorry about your shed. Always important to have renters insurance. I know Rich has the shed rebuilt by now. Seriously, I appreciate how you both work together. Don't know if it's cause the camera is on or if you both love your boat and the project as much as you do. It's very inspirational to me..
Great job reconditioning the engine.....thats what it takes . Due to the confined space i couldn't find any mechanic to address ours . Hence did it myself saving thousands & it should outlive my wife & i . Unless we go to all electric which is always a possibility . Injectors can be salvaged & saved . Found out these sailboat small engines are used on farm tractors .
Fire in your storage/ work shed sux big time, sorry to hear! On a positive note on this vid, it looks as though you are moving in the right direction to address the overheating.
So sorry to hear that. I hope your engine parts are usable. You should let us know if you need any help-a couple of bucks from all of your subscribers would go a long way toward replacing what you lost.
How gut wrenching. Thankfully it is only "stuff" and nobody was hurt. I guess no chance of insurance? Kind of prophetic the sweatshirt you were wearing, I don't think Colin had your situation in mind when He made them. The best to you....
