This is the follow-up to my visual skills guide, this time pertaining to the perks you can obtain in theHunter Call of the Wild. There are sections that do take a bit longer to go through because I'm showing how it pertains to every weapon type because the perk states it affects all weapons. Those segments are there just for reference and thoroughness, but if you see the first portion of that section, then you'll see all the rest are pretty much the same (with a few exceptions like the crossbows, or bows). You can choose to skip watching the full sections if you don't want to just sit around (in this case I'm specifically addressing the aim wobble section). Regardless, I hope this video is helpful for you in determining which perks will be most beneficial for you.
(Side Note: after the testing done with archery, I think the bows and the perks pertaining to them can both have a rework done to improve them. Let me know if you agree)
[Point of Note: I didn't explicitly state it this way in the video, but Pumping Iron doesn't seem worthwhile because with the right grain arrow for the animal, proper placement can take them down (in other words not hitting bones) regardless of range and while using the lowest 50lbs draw strength bow, rendering this perk worthless. You can watch the segment to see why exactly though]

Hands down, the best and most in depth demonstration of the Perks in COTW that's out there! Skills and Perks are one of the most important parts of the game, so spending them carefully and wisely is key. Collectively, this is a great way for any player to customize their Perk points to their play style. Funny that some perks don't make any noticeable difference at all, which I had always taken for granted. I was also always curious about windage, as I always use zeroing, so great thanks! Even though some are fairly subtle, you never know when those subtleties will count. Good catch on demonstrating the recycle perk at the shooting range too btw as I had the same thought! Haha I can see you must have spent a crazy amount of time putting this together, so hats off to you my friend. With all said and done, I am SO glad you put an updated version of the perks you chose going forward as it summarizes a lot of what you have discovered. Cheers for sure!! And congrats on putting this all together. I know it must have taken a lot of time and effort to do!

@ChesterSylvester Thank you very much for the kind words! Yes, this video took a seriously long time. A few months in total between recording everything, editing, re-recording if something didn't look right, more editing, grabbing screenshots, more editing, narrating, more editing, and creating the thumbnail. In all I think there was about 22hours of footage I worked with and at least 5 times that dedicated to the editing process to make this final product. My editing software hated me. It was getting really slow and bogging down near the end. I was afraid I would lose it so many times from crashing or something else. But, I'm glad you enjoyed the final result. It's done exactly what I hoped it would and provide insight into all the perks, including many people would probably never even look at. At least now they can know for sure. And if it helps people assign or reevaluate their allotments because of what they can see here and make their game better, then that's great and I hope it can improve their hunting. I agree, it's odd some perks didn't seem to have any affect. Maybe the devs could see this video and look into making some improvements or corrections. But some of the subtle changes are still greatly affective in the game, like the aim wobble. Minor changes, big impact. I really think archery could use some vast adjustments. I might pull those portions for draw strength and the different bows out just to make a video to post on discord for feature fixes. But, thanks again for all your comments, observations, and taking the time to watch it. Glad to help you out if nothing else. Thanks SO MUCH again! Now to get back to some normal hunting and easier videos. Cheers!

Thank you so much. I just reached level 60 and trying out different builds and this actually helped me to choose what perks to take because i just started to be mainly a bow hunter and iron sight musket hunter. I found for example that for my hunting style where i basically never grind large groups, i can easily live without fast reloading and only 1 in recoil managment and rather put these point into bows

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear this video is doing as intended and helping others make the best choices they need to for their style of hunting. Thanks for the feedback. Congrats on reaching 60th and good luck with your musket and bow hunting. Sounds like a good time with a lot of patience, stealth and getting up close and personal. Best of luck. Happy hunting!

Just a slight correction about the Body Control perk. I think the perk affects when you rotate around with a weapon in the iron sights, so when you aim left and right for example. It makes your rear sight align faster with the front sight post. At least that how i understand it

Thanks for the insight. That's very possible and something I may have to test out later. Just goes to show you how different people have different thoughts for the same input. I really appreciate the new idea and it's a great example of how working together can come up with new and sometimes better solutions than going it alone.

Awesome video! Call of the wild needs alot more great videos like this 👍 this video needs to get seen more for sure. My channel doesn't have a ton of traction with call of the wild but I'll give this video a shoutout and try to get my regulars over to check it out 😃

sometimes I think one person thought up what the perks would be but somebody else had to make it happen in game with varying degrees of success ..!

Yeah, it's nice to have them as options to choose as you desire. But I think Classic still has the best system for improvements personally. It's done by actively working in an area instead of picking and choosing. Still CotW has a good selection even if it could be a bit better. Thanks for the feedback. Have a good one.
