I always recognize Florida sand in gardening videos 🤣 I ended up putting my bananas near my ducks, it's the only way I could make sure they get enough water. Good luck with your bananas, may you get many racks!
I have a banana plant that someone gave me a year or so ago. I have been trying to decide how I want to plant it, I may go this route and try to grab so more pups to fill it out. It may have to wait until the fall when the heat starts to break some. :D Normally, I grow stuff out of "Self watering" containers, but I am not sure that would work with a banana plant.
Depending on the variety, I believe you could grow them in a wicking bed/self watering container. I have one that says it only gets 3 feet, others will be like 15 feet or more. I hear you on the heat, this time of year makes it difficult to be outside in the heat. It's like you get an hr or 2 in the morning and in the evening, other than that, Air-conditioning. xD
