Seriously so helpful! Working on a bloody cloth that needs to appear partially washed and was planning to go w/ acrylic paint but wanted to research a bit first. Glad to know it should work and be nontransferable after drying. If you ever want edible blood I recommend light corn syrup+red food coloring+cocoa powder (for darkness and natural clots) Thank you for experimenting on our behalf and keep up the good work! 😊

If you used boiling water with Rit red brown mix you would get better results.

For a fresh blood effect I also got told by a professional scare actor friend to use glass paint when i was looking for something to make permanent fake blood for clothes. I haven't tried it yet, I'm really curious on how it'll turn out. Does anyone ever tried it?? Edit: I've tried the glass paint method! I've used the brand Pébéo and it does give a nice still fresh effect. I've used it on clothing for a costume and on a fake knife for a prop, I'll edit again once I wash the costume to tell about the result!

I use palenight production’s blood a lot for my latex masks and props. But it turns out that the blood isn’t ideally flexible. I hope we can checkout the flexible dura-blood from frightprops. Looking forward to seeing it in park 3 lol.

These videos are incredible! I'm looking to bloody up a prop scythe i'm making out of foamboard and these helped a lot! But also I wanted to ask where or what do you work as where you can go bloodied up into your job? Cause that sounds incredible!

For the process, does it need to be washed after? I need to blood stain some prop canvas bags that will be handled a lot. One with older blood, and one more fresh. Help please 😁

This is awesome, thank you! Do you have any suggestions when it comes to fabric paint vs acrylic paint with a textile medium? Would using fabric paint offer the same results?

Do you happen to have any tips on fake blood for wigs?? Preferably something that can wash out and not stain so I can reuse. I want to make a MOM alt universe Wanda, when she has ultron blood all over. I tried hair gel with water activated paint but that only gives the look I want when it has yet to dry. I'm also con crunching this cosplay for a con in less than a week.... any help is greatly appreciated

I have never tried to add blood to wig before so unfortunately I won’t be much help in that department. Everything I have experimented with stained to some degree. The fabric dye versions would seem like the most likely to wash out but it would depend on the wig material. And obviously if the wig is dark then you can get away with a little bit of discoloration. Best of luck!!

There are many brands of resin tints that probably work the same and are cheaper. That’s simply the brand I had handy.
