Thank you for providing us with all the achievements of Pernel Roberts. As a kid, we never missed Bonanza. He was so talented and I admire him for deciding to move on to follow his dreams. I also loved him on Trapper John, He was a true talent.

Not a stargazer by a long shot, but at my place of employment here in Discovery Bay I saw this person walking along the corridor, so I started jumping saying "Adam. Adam" and a co-worker challenged me that he was not. I said, yes, it is, with my being an ardent Bonanza fan who used to rush home from school every Friday to watch that series, I think I must be able to recognize him anywhere. So, I ran down to the General Manager's Office and there he was along with Madge Sinclair. Totally mesmerized I simply said: "Adam"? He turned around and answered: "Yes" He Came and shook my hand while I gazed into his oh-so-beautiful eyes. Umm... Fond memory. Thank you so very much for sharing -- I totally enjoyed watching.

I used to watch him on Bonaza back in the mid '60s. I was a young newly married woman and mother of a baby girl. Watching Bonaza on our black and white TV was a great escape from the trials of being newly married and new motherhood. I had the biggest crush on "Adam". . . my husband used to tease me about it. Great memories.

Always stand up for what you believe in. Don't let others make you change the course you feel strongly sbout. Stand up for convictions.

Pernell thought that a father telling a 30 year old what to do and all of the women constantly dying or leaving was silly. I loved all of the stars but I think he was right. It was Michael Landon who was a bit full of himself if you actually check out the history of the show.

You used a photo from Ride Lonesome in the Bonanza clips. That was Randolph Scott with Roberts.

How about cutting faster thru PR's rise to fame with Shakespearean plays, shortening the Bonanza segment, and diving into his "painful" demise?

terrible video! so many inaccuracies - he died of pancreatic cancer, he did not divorce his 4th wife Eleanor, pictures don't match the commentary, his father was a saleman I believe, - not worth the 30:29 minutes to watch!

26:41 - showing SOMEONE ELSES grave stone - born in 1964 and died in 2018 ??? Gawd, doesn't get much cheesier or inaccurate than that. Actor Pernell Roberts was born May 18, 1928 and died January 24 2010.... After doing a search, I understand he was cremated and his ashes were claimed by a family friend, and it was never disclosed what happened to them after that. I won't even go into ALL the times you said one name then showed a picture of someone else..... It's laughable.

It’s funny how Hollywood now and even back, then thinks that they are so powerful that thinking one person leaving a TV show isn’t going to affect the longevity of that show and Pernell Roberts was one person that proved that they needed him more than he needed them as it always is in this world

Loayalty to BONANZA kept me watching the show without Adam I noticed the light action the as the show progressed. While some comedy was welcomed with cast wsoecially with Hoss, I waited more drama with depth. Season #1 sas the best.

I've seen hit shows sometimes has an actor that thinks they should be doing Shakespeare on stage. They leave and the shows get better. NYPD done that.

The constant repeating of the information in the over the top melodramatic dialog makes this difficult to watch until the end. This video could have been presented in a professional manner in under 15 minutes and been a whole lot better. It appears that the presenter is constantly competing with the subject matter for top billing which only distracts from the entire clip. I don’t get it. Was this about the actor or the presenter’s overuse of his vocabulary?

The best thing that happened was when he left Bonanza. He thought he was too good for the show. He should have stayed in theater. Never cared for Trapper John MD. All I can say is RIP Mr. Roberts.

You are very mistaken. There were a large number of Black cowboys in the West. You've watched too many Hollywood westerns and not read enough true history books. The Civil War ending resulted in many being "cow punchers."
