Thank you for these powerful words. Preaching reality has been unpopular over the ages, but understanding God’s Grace should put us all on our knees. None deserves such love as this. Praise God He is such a forgiving , loving, patient Father.

I just watched this and have listened to many commentaries on this subject. Very good and thorough explanation brother! We all have to do our part in preaching the true gospel. These kind of Bible based teachings help us do that. God Bless

We also have to remember that the OT saints did not have Jesus nor His Holy Spirit, therefore did not yet have a way of escape but the same is not true for us; 1 Corinthians 10:13

Its interesting to note that we think that the five points of Calvin (TULIP) is law, if God did not write it (or say it) it is false prophecy whether we believe it, or not. The doctrines of tulip is not found in scriptures, only in the minds of heretics. Thank you for your video. And Amen!

Beautiful grace-upholding teaching! Sadly, most people who reject Calvinism still hold to a form of Lordship Salvation. Not this man! I wish his book was available in German.

One problem I see is that he defines pistis/pisteuo in a way that does not and cannot include obedience, when the very lexicons he quotes do the opposite. Thayer, for instance, gives as a possible meaning "joyful trust conjoined with obedience" while Liddell and Scott says "compliance." The only motive I can come up with is to eliminate the idea that baptism is unto the remission of sins or figuratively washes away one's sins. It also eliminates Rom 10: 9-10 along with Acts 2: 38. In the end, he's claiming that one may be saved by a dead faith: there is no other conclusion possible. Very smart man, very good speaker, good knowledge. Where he gets off track is not so much the Bible. It's the "Baptist Faith and Message." One can hardly read Gal 5: 1-4 and conclude that a forgiven person can fall from grace, be severed from Christ so that Christ has no effect for them. In other words, once saved - now lost, unless they repent.

Ever heard of repentance? Ezekiel Chapter 18 21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? You're a part of the problem with the church being full of workers of iniquity.

'Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only' (Jam 2:24). This is plainly not about heavenly rewards at judgment, as shown in the next verse. All of the people in Jericho believed enough in the God of the Jews to be afraid of him, but only one, Rahab, responded to that fear in line with the will of God, and so only she was saved, because she had faith and works, which is what v14-26 are plainly addressing. Rahab was saved as a result of her works, and the rest of Jericho will spend eternity in the lake of fire, not because they did not believe in Yahweh, but because they did not do his will. 'Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven' (Mt 7:21).

There was also no law at that time either. This is why sin was not imputed, even though they did sin. Today we have no excuse and are to give an account. Why did Paul cast out the two men in 1 Timothy 1? Why did he tell the church to cast out from among the church the man who was a fornicator?

You need to preach more repentance rather than only emphasising that sinning is natural. Concerning

This man comes up with a list of believers (largely from the OT) without taking into account whether or not they repented and were restored. 24 But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same abominations as the wicked, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness and sin he has committed, he will die. (Ezekiel 18:24) This teacher advocates for the equivalency of all sins and for antinomian salvation that does not require ONGOING faith and obedience but Jesus said: 46 Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time.’ 49And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. 51Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:46-51) 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who PRACTICE such things WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM of God. (Galatians 5:19-21) The key to understanding this verse is the word PRACTICE which is the present participle of "doing" The present participle denotes action that is CONTINUAL, HABITUAL and unremitting. Committing A sin is not the same as adopting it as a lifestyle and never repenting.

You're in error my friend . Have you never read that most of these names the brother listed are confirmed in what's called the hall of grace in Scripture ? Yes many names he listed were confirmed by Scripture as righteous by the grace of GOD . Are you a Calvinist ? It appears that you are by your comment . GOD bless you .

@@cecilspurlockjr.9421 I am about as far from a Calvinist as a person can get. Your answer did not address the scriptures I cited which came from the OT, the NT as well as the teaching of Jesus. What you have been taught (probably free grace Antinomianiam disagrees with all those sources. Those who begin in the faith will end up inheriting eternal life only if they continue in the faith until the end. 24 As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. IF IT DOES, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.… (1 John 2:24-25)
