The Pershing is probably my favorite tank in the game, it is so much fun to use despite it's sometimes annoying mobility and lack of penetration on its m82 shot. Just the feeling of seeing a tiger 1 shooting you and nothing happening is great. You know it happenes and they just kinda think "hmm, wel shid"

what I thought about pershing tank? That Gaijin gave it unreasonable BR and repair cost.

I love all Pershing variants. Especially the T26e5 & T26e1-1. However there is one more variant I hope to see added one day. The T26e4 is a second generation Super Pershing. I think it’s interesting how many people often confused this tank with the T26e1-1. The main difference between it and it’s predecessor the T26e1-1, (other than the extra welded armor), is the T26e1-1 uses the t15e1 90mm gun while the T26e4 uses the t15e2 90mm gun. Also, the T26e4 doesn’t have the “Pringle cans” on its turret. 25 T26e4 Super Pershings were built. However, only 1 still remains.

All I know is my Grandfather turned in a Horse for a Stuart and commanded Tanks and Tankers into the late 1960's. He liked the Pershings. He was leading a troop in Korea and watched a noobie freak out and bail out of his Pershing along with the rest of the Crew and that Tank bounced down the side of a mountain, until it landed smack dab in the middle of a CP, at the bottom of the Mountain. He was much relieved , when he got down there and founded that the CP had closed shop and moved out the night before. He did weapon system evals, for the Joint Chiefs as a Command Sergeant Major. Very cool dude. God rest CSM Otha P Swicegood. 2 Wars, Life of Service, incredibly cool Man.

The Pershing is so iconic and cool. I wish that they didn't uptier all of the US line with any armor on it into irrelevance. If you take the entire 3.3 to 6.3 US line of tanks and add a little bit of armor and then add 50% (!) to the main gun's penetration, you get the German tank line in that range. It's kind of crazy that that is still the case so many years running. Someone at Gaijin sees the Tiger and Panther at 5.3, every time they look at the BR sheet, then sees the M4A2 76 and M4A3 76 tanks and goes "these are the same". I mean if you take either of those Shermans and try to line up at an optimal angle on the protection analysis, they are just painted fully green, from top to bottom and left to right, at 500m against the Tiger 1 and Panther D. They might as well be reserve tier armor. Now take the Tiger 1 and Panther D, angle them slightly, and do it again against the Sherman 76 at 500m. Almost unpenetratable with tiny slivers of green that volumetric will likely eat. There is nothing wrong with working armor! Just move US tanks to where they also have working armor. I like armor meta. I like fighting strong heavies in other strong heavies. Same goes for the Pershing against the Tiger IIP at 6.3 and for any equivalent medium or heavy tanks for Russia or Germany. What I'm saying is about 25% ranty complaint and 75% just wanting to play fun tanks without them being wet noodles with paper armor. I really want to play the US line but there are like 3 tanks before 7 BR that line up even remotely close pound-for-pound to Germany/Russia. Britain has the same issue. Help us play our favorite tanks without hating ourselves, Gaijin! Please!

I grinded it as fast as possible, when it was added to the game tech tree, years back. Spaded it and it became my main tank to play ... Without using any GE, i've managed to get the crew level to 149,5. It lacks mobility, but it's reliable on any map and packs a punch, that no cat can take. With the 6.3 br, it sits at the best sweetspot of the game. 1049 arcade, and about the same number, realistic battles on its belt.

put the T25 back to 6.0 or at least give us the version with the stabilizer

Are we ever getting that water vapour effect on a jet fighter when pulling a tight turn? Feel like it would add some more realism to the turning process

I feel like the Pershing was really short-lived,It was a good replacement for the Shermans and if it arrived much earlier in the war,it could've been developed on even further and it could've received a longer term of active service

I noticed sometimes the tanks don't turn into rust when burned up immediately which was a cool feature I'd been waiting on

I'd love to see a Pershing in the French tech tree. They did use them and France badly needs more vehicles at 6.3-6.7.

They were great when I played them 2 years ago but seeing all these T series tanks raised in br ruins them. I don't think the super Pershing should be on the same level as the t34 or even close to it. The t23 and 25 should be similar to panthers only less armored and more mobile. No reason to have them higher than all other panthers including the later versions when they no longer have stabilizers

Fun fact!: The m26 pershing in game can bounce short 88 and long 75 shells if angled extremely!! Though beware, where the turret meets the hull, the armor is 35mm thick. Think about how good your opponents are!

The thumbnail was the Battle of Cologne. That scene in the thumbnail was the Panther tank being shot at by the Pershing. The reason the Panther lost cuz the commander said “Not Sherman. It is our ally.” NICE ONE

The Pershings are easily some of my favorite tanks, in the game. Between my M26/T26E5 line-up and my Jagdpanther/Tiger 2 (P) lineup, idk which is my favorite.

Every other nation tanks: Reliability, Armor, Low Cost, Good Armament and they had to chose from Meanwhile Pershing: Everything + A E S T H E T I C S

Mmm, the M26. My best secondary brawler tank ever, I paired it with the T26E1, M41 and the M42, and two aircraft. I love this thing, it's *made* for a secondary role, but in downtiers you can slug it out if your T26 is knocked out. Absolutely wonderful to play.

Excellent video! I really love the Pershing! My favorite Pershing is the T26A1 - Supper Pershing! But his repair cost is about 17K silver lions so.. can't really use him😐✌

Pershing was an excellent tank for it's time! I don't really think that they cared too much about the mobility like us gamers seem to do, it was more than adequate, it addressed many of the previous generations concerns, and pioneered ideas that would be fleshed out and used for years to come such as the engine and power pack in the back easy to swap out and get it back helping troops. The 34-85s it faced were no real problem hence why the e5 wasn't ever moved forward, and then the better turret making it a M47 show just how brilliant the thing was for it's time. Then beyond that it kept the USSR at bay for a long time even after the US was feilding the m48. You could even point to the M103 and call that a success to a degree as it did serve the marines very well and previewed M48 features before it was rolled out, albeit mainly a Pershing underneath it all. Nice video, and nice tanks in game!

The Pershing was Probably the First Tank in the American Line that Love, most likely due to the fact that I use it Heavily in CoH.... Lols, but as Time went on I started to Love it even more for its Looks, its Powerful Firepower for its Time, and the Fact that it Paved the Way to the Patton Tanks, and of course the MBT Line of Tanks, such a Wonderful Piece of American Engineering! also, I've been Wondering for a Long Time... does Anybody know the Title of the Background Music used in these Videos? God it Sounds Awesome! or Is it an Original Song made for this Series? Either way... I want to Know! can some one tell me? Please? the Pershing is fun to use, mobile, decently punch gun, its an all around vehicle, its just the repair cost that throws it off, along with other American tanks at the br like the T25, Super Pershing and T95

My thoughts on the Pershing are that it is just an un fun pain to use. It’s bigger prototype and later variant are more fun to use and less expensive. I don’t want to play a tank that’s costs me most of a games winnings to use. It costs more than basically every other tank above and below minus the T-95. And at least the T-95 makes it feel earned. It’s also facing stuff it really shouldn’t. All the American tanks need like .3 slashed off their BR’s and maybe a couple more SPAA’s to avoid such drastic BR jumps.

It basically a Morale boost tank for American tankers and especially the GI on the ground, knowing they finally had a tank that could take down German panther and Tiger at ease

I love the Pershing... especially the Super Pershing. When i am having a bad day and getting my butt kicked over and over... I click on "Ole Reliable" - Super Pershing... and I kick butt in it.

The M26 and is predecessor T29 that was born from that line of tank, a some of the coolest semi modern tanks. There are still wicked tanks from other nations thT Really like, but those 2 and perhaps The entire line of IS series tanks of the soviets.

The m26 is a very versatile vehicle. The armour is good for most situations and the gun can be great when played cerectly. The only downside side of the m26 Pershing is the traverse speed; sure it has a better engine but it's power to weight ratio is below average. Overall, it's a fun tank to play.

I prefer the T-44 over the Pershing, but one thing for sure, at least the Pershing has better penetration, either Gaijin increases the penetration of the APCR up a bit (so we can penetrate Tiger II (H) more reliably) or change it down to 6.0 (or make it have preferable matchmaking) because ATGMs are a pain to go against.

I can speak of my WoT experience in the Pershing as I'm grinding China ATM in WT. The Pershing is the fun all rounder that can do anything that's required of it. I personally enjoyed it very much and definitely place it over my T-44 and Centurion. I imagine that the Pershing preforms the same in War Thunder.

@6:20 I'm pretty sure that Pattons are not in service today. I guess M60s are still in reserve and its bridge layer variant is still used, but they are not classified as Pattons, so I dunno if that counts.

Hey Gaijin, I have a few questions/request to ask. - Since you've made a Chinese/Taiwanese Tech tree for both tanks and planes. When do you plan to make a Philippine tech tree? I know most of our stuff are made from other countries specially from the US, however, you've done that in other countries tech tree so wouldn't mind it at all. As a Filipino, that would be great if you do that for the Filipino community of the game. Although, I know and we know that most of our tanks would be composed of light tanks and probably wouldn't reach a BR of 9 at least our planes, helis, and some donated ships could reach that. And yes, we would like to see the OV-10 Bronco and A-29 Super Tucano in the game. - You've already made a map based on the Philippines which is "Baguio" however, It would be great if you include 1940's Manila specially around the Intramuros area since a major battle happened there during WWII. - Since WWII Japanese planes and tanks die easily in game, would you mind decreasing the repair and purchasing cost of those military assets by 25-50% just to be fair for the people who are grinding the tech tree?

Lower the M26E1 BR, it got 100mm on the front at 6.7, yes the cannon is great but so is the Tiger 2(p) gun with better armor at 6.3

I would love the tank more if you'd fix the T33 shot already...it still has the same penetration as the outdated M77 shot the T33 shot was explicitly made to replace. Also if you would fix the armor type of the T26E1-1's welded on hull armor that'd be great. For some reason it's listed as structural steel and given the same modifier when it was boiler plate, that's a 30% difference in the quality modifier (it's currently 0.4 while it should be 0.7). These historical fixes would not overpower the vehicle but it would make it far more enjoyable and authentic. C'mon Gaijin it's been years and these are very well known issues. I don't imagine either would exactly be difficult to fix either.

Fun tanks but repair costs compared to it's competition makes me avoid them completely.

M26E1 with its long 90 melts big cats and I adore for doing so.

It would've been great if it introduced in 43 or 44 It would've made a difference against the Tiger I, II or bigger tanks.

the M26 is hands down my favorite tank in War Thunder and IRL. it has ok speed great armor. (until you're uptiered and fight leopard 1's.;-;) and the 90mm is great all in all i'd give it a 11/10. (i'm totally not biased it's not like i have nearly played a thousand battles with just the base M26 lmao.)

Has anybody wondered why the T26E1's applique armour is modeled as structural steel, rather than RHA? That makes the armor weaker than it should be for the weight it adds to the vehicle.

The T26E5 is my new go to at 6.3, only thing that can kill you from the front is a lucky 88 trap shot or machine gun port shot, or getting uptiered into heatfs.
