I do like both but the metal fits so much with the style of Toshiki Konishi, he works really well with a rock influence. The orchestra in the original is pretty good too, I think it adds to Philemon’s more sophisticated personality as an adversary
"I'm impressed you've made it here. You're the strongest I've ever seen." Before you stands the disciple of Jung, Philemon himself. Your most powerful ally and your spirit guide through all this turmoil is smiling at you and your teammates, though the smile shows no emotion. He reaches out his arms into an embrace, and challenges you to one last battle. "Now, give me your all, my friends!" And thus, the final battle between you and humanity's father spirit begins...
@@hiimmistergay4247 Yes. Carl Jung is basically the supreme entity within the Persona series, with his psychology being the entire basis behind the concepts of Personas, Shadows, and the collective unconscious.
I really wish they hadn't removed the alien sounding synth that's also used in the final boss theme. If I remember correctly it's changed to strings in the Innocent Sin port and I'll never understand why. The whole unnatural sounding vibe of that was what made both this track and the final boss theme.
This theme and the Nyarlethotep final boss theme isn’t in Innocent Sin’s psp remake. Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are two different games. Eternal Punishment’s remake/update (the source for this track) was never localized, and OG Innocent Sin was never localized either
and the fact that they both shared the same alien synth really made it seem like they were both mirror images of each other, the positive of humanity and the negative
@@JacobNintendoNerd99 the Nyarlethotep theme is in Innocent Sin, I believe it's faster and higher but it is there. And in the PSP port, they changed the alien synth to strings and just butchered it completely because it removed the otherworldly element
Definitely try P2 when you get the chance, starting with Innocent Sin of course - the gameplay is a lot more old-school, but I expect you'll be impressed at just how cool and deep the characters and story of this game are
yeah the characters and presentation of P2 are the highlight of the game, also lots of explanations for the lore of the velvet room and stuff like that
P2 blows the rest out of the water easily. Ost, characters and core plot is just so well done, the only bad thing I can say about the games is the gameplay being a bit outdated, but I still think the game is way less shaky than say, Persona 3.
Every time I hear any theme from OG Persona or the remake, I wish Atlus would do it again for modern hardware. Persona 6 ain't coming any time soon and nobody can use 'They're too old' as an excuse. Final Fantasy 7 is almost the same age, is longer than all three Playstation 1 games alone and still got a remake of debatable quality. Maybe remake them as a package deal so that way it'd be worth the price. If you put them together, they're only 20 hours shorter than Persona 5 Royal so it'd be well worth a $60 price tag if all of them were remade from the ground up as a package
@@CrashTise H. P. Lovecraft. The author who created the Cosmic Horror genre of fiction, and the whole concept of the outwordly entity that sees humanity as an insignificant speck in the cosmos and their mere sight can drive the mind mad.
@@amirtheweirdo2189 And all theyd have to do is make Joker with that mask since P2 part 1 established that he takes the form of the current protagonist
Idk man, there are multiple better battle themes in the new trilogy off the top of my head, and in P1 there's Deadline, and arguably even some of the themes in P2 itself could be better depending on who's listening (IS regular battle is top tier).
須藤竜也「やはり来やがったか、目障りなガキめ…」 周防達哉「須藤ぉぉぉぉぉぉぉぉぉぉぉぉ!!」 アポロ(または真アポロor他のペルソナ)vsジョーカー Tatsuya Sudo "Isn't it coming, it's an annoying kid …" Tatsuya Suo "Sudoooooooo!!" Apollo (or true Apollo or other persona) vs Joker
Servbot01 It’s your preference but For me it’s arguably one of the Final boss battle themes in the entire series It’s powerful because This signifies The end of Maya and Tatsuya Journey It’s really good
