I still stand by the idea that Akechi should have been the secret final boss of the game in a 1v1 last battle within the Velvet Room between Joker and him with this song as the theme.
Akechi....my favorite character alongside futaba. I know the lyrics are about him and Joker and how Joker feels about him in the end of it all. I feel all we needed was more time with him and we got exactly that in royal. I feel this song is Jokers silent response to Akechi when he knows he is gone once they return to reality. Without a doubt, I feel Akechi will come back, not in strikers, but in a future installment to the phantom thieves story. I sure hope they do it perfectly.
Interesting to take Futaba and the cynical murderer who caused her to lose her family and to deeply damaging her psychologically. Just interesting. Also a little reminder: he could’ve killed Shido anytime through his palace. I don’t think he’s a bad character because he’s a bad person but sure he’s not a tsundere dark hero but a ruthless criminal, that was his role in the story. Many people just cannot understand that.
I hope that in the Arena games Joker and Akechi develop more their relationship. I mean this is kind of some declaration or something, it's so romantic for no reason at all. You know, despite Akechi being an ass and a serial killer and all that, despite all that, he's still a good person. He destroyed lifes, yet why should you care about him, why does JOKER care about him no matter what? Because you know there's someone who could be a better person if life didn't fuck him up constantly, if he only realized that people could love him if he showed himself. I think Royal's a genius game at making you care about such a person. One could say "oh but other games have done that, for example Danganronpa" but it's wildly different here, he killed not because he was exactly forced to (at least at one point), he did it just because he wanted to feel something good in his life. Yet the only time that worked, the only time he really felt something good and genuine, wasn't when he did all of that. It was because he was with Joker. He may be a bitch but he's Joker's bitch (not in a sexual way), and his friend. A character like him would never be liked in any other circumstances, hell, he was wildly disliked in P5 Vanilla. And he's liked now, not because something changed in his character, but because he was close to us. The only thing that could change player's opinions is to see their relationship with Akechi. Nothing changed with him, yet that alone was enough for people to love him. Also can I just say that we were robbed with no Akechi romance route? Or at least a hint at something more. I mean Maruki's reality is literally an Shuake fanfic lmao. I hope that in the future there's more hints at something more because it's probably one of the best relationships to ever exist in Persona, which is crazy, considering how Joker's a silent protagonist, but I think it's because in his relationship with Akechi it's the only time where Joker does a lot of things not because the player said so but because he said so. If that's the case now, imagine in the Arena games in which Joker could say whatever he wanted to say. It's crazy how Royal made such a fantastic relationship even with the limitations of silent protagonists.

after beating p5r I felt so empty for like a week...I really want to see Goro, Maruki and Sumi in another game again, even if it'll just a DLC for Strikers....to this day I feel incredibly empty after listening to this. i really want to see the thieves again. i'm not ready to let them go.
Persona 5 royal is a game that really broke my break into pieces. I actually finished the game just last week, ever since then i felt just so empty and heartbroken. Knowing that Akechi was gonna give it his all knowing he’ll be dead by the end of changing Maruki’s heart. Akechi went through so much shit that he didnt deserve, fucking Shido played him like a fucking doll. Fuck Shido, I’m really trying not to fucking cry while typing this because then im gonna hate myself dkdndjndh😭😭😭 Akechi wanted to share his last moments on Earth with Ren. That shows how much Akechi really does love Ren being in his presence (i hope i spelt that right wjdhdjdh😭) all Akechi wanted was to be happy. That’s all he ever deserves. He deserves Happiness. Everytime i see the word *Justice* it always makes me think of Akechi. I dont know why though… When i finished the game and saw the credits, i placed the controller next to me on my bed. And just started bawling my eyes out. I just cant stop thinking about Akechi. All i ever wanted for Akechi was to just be happy in life, he deserves more. The picture in the video of Akechi just happy playing chess with Ren makes me so happy dkdndjdn Alright im gonna stop typing because i dont wanna cry sorry if none of this made any sence djdhjd😭😭 i’m gonna go cry now.
@@Spectralll for me it wasn’t a day it was like a week I didn’t want it to end like I love the ending it is perfect with a good lesson, I will miss my thieves and I like strikers but without sumi and akechi it is not like a real continuation for me atleast
It’s been almost 2 whole years since I finished and platinum the game and I still think that this game change my 2020 from a shitty year into a better time, I still cry for these game not only for what it means to me it reminds me from a chapter in my life were I played with four friends all day long warzone and later our main games while the others were fifa, 2k nba, the last of us part 2 mine was this for about 5 months and every character I love it to the bottom of my heart
