Listening to a JohnneAwesome secret boss battle is so entertaining because he's always like "Wow this is going well, we might make this" "No wait oh my god this is awful" "we could still make this but it's going to be close" "oh my god they are going to come out of the TV and kill me in real life if we don't get them to 50% HP this turn"

I remember first fighting the twins in the original persona 5 I had a hard time facing them,but in royal I didn't have too much of a problem with them and also looking forward to John facing lavenza too

Hey Johneawesome, great video with equally entertaining commentary. I’m also a hardcore fan of this game and one of my biggest obsessions is fine-tuning persona builds when embarking on challenging fights. The nice thing about this game is the wide variety of methods available at player’s disposal for challenging the twins; there’s no one right way to do it like the Elizabeth fight in P3FES but rather, many creative ways. I myself went for a low-level challenge fight against the twins using only Joker and uploaded the video on my channel. I regret to say I don’t have commentary to engage audience with but it is my hope that my strategy gives new and old players new ideas on how to utilize the game’s mechanics to their full potential. Looking forward to seeing more of your content.

I loved this fight but found it a bit odd that it's saved for NG+. On the one hand it's harder than all the fights in the main game (except Lavenza) but all the dialogue surrounding it is hinting ever more that the twins are more than they appear. In NG+ you already know the twist though. I do love the roasting Caroline gives if you get knocked out in the first round lol

The King of JRPG’s flexes his power today.

he has done it yes i have wanted this

The nice thing about this secret boss battle is the strategy having room for flexibility; you can either fight them with party members or go solo. You also don’t have to use specific personas for certain roles; between the variety of personas, their traits, skill cards and other velvet room mechanics, you can mix and match for optimum results. For example, some people use Arahabaki for concentrate while others may opt for Rangda or Fafnir. There’s no one right way to do it; there’s several creative ways to get through multi-phase fights with some of them setting new records. The secret boss in Persona 3 FES didn’t have as much flexibility; you had to have a very specific setup and there was no room for creative workarounds and it also didn’t help that persona fusions didn’t come with skill selection but were left to the mercy of RNG on what was inherited. I really enjoyed the challenge of the NG+ third semester optional boss; overtime, I came up with a strategy that works most of the time with the only uncertainty being during the third phase as I’m at the mercy of luck. Conversely, I’m quite impressed with people who’ve uploaded videos showing they did the fight solo or in two party turns. Persona 5 Royal has its challenges to be sure but I don’t feel any of them are narrow and have plenty of room for flexibility.

YES!!! I need to thank you for getting me into this series! I watched your Persona 5 series, and then played the Royal version along with you during this series. Played along with Persona 4 as well! Can't decide which game I like better overall! I have Persona 3, but I'm having a little bit of trouble getting into it. I'm not far into the game at all. I'm about to go to the entrance of Tuataras for the first time. I know 3 isn't going to be as in depth, or intense as 4 and 5, but can I ask for opinions from people who have played the game (Without spoilers, please! lol).

Many years later we still don’t know that guy playing the piano, base and the other instruments and this guy is some how in every boss fight and normal fights and he’s freaking everywhere I need to give this man a tip for his troubles lol

Also what about the Lavenza boss battle. Also if you do do the Lavenza boss battle, I would say the party members you should bring, if you bring any, are Ann for high energy, Ryuji for Fighting Spirit, and Mokoto/Yusuke for healing/Heat Riser All.

Also, in Royal, I found that using the Defense Down sprays and the Agility Down sprays was useful.

I just managed this boss fight. I was level 53 lol. My personas were: fafnir, for concentrating my magic attacks. The rest of the move slots are filled with passive skills to make him immune to attacks. The other was sataneal with passive skills and megidolaon.

Wuuuuuuuuuuuuut I didn't expect this and I really missed p5r so yaaaaayXD
