Head cannon: Half way through the fight, Skull and Mona catch eachother complaining how strong their opponent is, and they're both like, "Please, I could kick your ass any day." At which point, the light bulb goes off, they switch opponents and fulfill their dreams of kicking eachothers asses.
What would've been neat is that you could keep your PMs, and everytime you Baton Pass to another Teammate, the shadows would do the same so that you'd fight the corresponding faker shadows depending on your team layout. What we got with Joker V Joker was still fun, but if they included the baton pass thing into it, it would've made for a neat fight

I like how since she doesn't know how they really look like,the colour pallete for the phantom thieves are the colour pallete used mainly throughout the game.Nice touch
am i the only one laughing how Zenkinchi is thinking that his daughter is dieing on his arms and everyone is chilled and not telling him, like they never told him how it was while investigating and let him think he had to fight his actual daughter
Anyone wanna talk about how Futaba had an Shadow version? Like, how does it work? Are they both taking damage at the same time and it’s whoever’s healing boosts kick in faster wins? Lol
2 things: 1) Am I the only one who wanted to face each of the Cognitive Phantom Thieves one by one until Joker's was the last one? 2) What were Wolf and Sophie doing the whole time?
They were backing up individual thieves when they needed it. Joker didn’t require any because he could handle his copy and Sophia and Zenkichi would get in the way
I like how the Fake Thieves posed, Akane probably doesn’t know their personalities too well so she has them pose how she thinks they would Fake Panther for instance is going a cat pose probably cause her attire, Fake Queen is flexing as she thinks she’s a strong fighter (she is) and Fake Noir I actually have no idea how she came up with that pose for Noir when it’s more of a pose for Panther but whatever.
I wish that we could have had a request which would let you do the whole gauntlet of the main party vs. their doppelgangers in 1v1. Would've been very fun for an optional boss fight
Oh that one was an absolute pain! I was able to kill him on my second attempt after using literally all my items lol (I was level 43 and no buffs/debuffs)
Do buffs make that much of a difference on easier difficulties? Touchy subject, yeah, especially since buffs and debuffs have been a thing before Persona came about, but I never found a use for buffs and debuffs, especially now. Then again, I barely got pass the tutorial fight on merciless...
@@Puda nah, buffs really help, although debuffs not so much. With the defense boost and the agility boost you can pretty much do non-stop critical combos to build up showtime with 1 mores during the entire fight with a few sp recover items
@@raezor6941 buffs, debuffs, and ailments can be a god send during hard battles and boss fights. Increasing attack, defense or evasion can make a battle easier and with proper use of personas you can basically make sure your enemy never attacks or even move during the entire fight. For example i was easily able to beat the fake joker without taking a single bit of damage. How? Use fusion to get a persona with dormina (make enemies sleep) sleep boost (increases the chances of sleep) and ailment boost (increase all ailment chances). Just use dormina on him and while sleeping, boost attack. Debuff enemy defense. Then throw everything at him. Once he starts to wake up again. Just put him back to sleep. Even while being hit enemies stay asleep so that thing can be abused alot. Even against dire shadows and powerful shadows. Though it doesnt work on bosses.

I liked fighting joker solo but it would have been more fun if we could fight one on one with each shadow not only joker. Not complaining just for fun.
The first time i saw this boss i was like "wait. Morgana said that we should take out the shadows one by one. Does this mean i need to fight each shadow replica using the originals? Good god im done for." As by this point i was very confident that as joker, haru, makoto, or ann i can easily win as they were all above level 60 equiped with the best weapons and armor i can get during that time. But the rest? They still have their default accessory much left leveled up enough to even scratch the boss. Thankfully you only needed to fight the joker replica. If you were meant to fight the entire team then im sure a lot of people would be stuck at this boss for a bit.
I honestly wouldn'd have minded a possibility of facing each phantom thieves cognitions. Maybe as a bonus, since you can redo final jail boss fight, they could have made a special one for this.
It would be cool, but it makes sense that they're not there. Akane never actually saw them. Still, it wouldve been cool to at least see a reference to Kasumi and Akechi in the game
@Michael Thomas. You aren't wrong. Zenkichi had only just gotten his Persona after all and Akechi was a bloodthirsty killer. Although the idea of Zenkichi's Fury vs Akechi's Call of Chaos is an interesting thought

I did this entire fight with only Arsene. Was it difficult? Hell yeah Was it worth it? Honestly it felt badass Matching him move for move with only Arsene and using curse skills and regen passives along with lot of healing items.
@@bubalackgaming8892 oh Christ then you had a much harder fight than I, I made it a rule in each one to make sure I always carried the protags persona, which I know kinda defeats the purpose of switching out for each situation but I always felt bad ass with them. Hell in persona 5 (the first one) when I reached yaldaboth I had Arsene at lvl 82 and I made sure to fight him with only Arsene as a testament to how strong Joker became. I experienced death many times but when I won it felt great
I would have loved if you could still baton pass in this fight Imagine baton passing to ryuji or something, and the enemy doing the same I just think it would have been to fight ALL the copies
I still can't help but feel kinda disappointed that we couldn't fight the other fake Phantom thieves. That intro with Akane had me hyped up! But when it turned into a fight with just Shadow Joker, I felt like it was such a waste to make the other fake Phantom thieves.
Instead of having an entire group of phantom thieves fighting each other, I kind of wish it was just Cognitive Joker who was the Jail Boss and the real Joker would fight one-on-one with him alone on behalf of his team. Would have been more epic. Plus Joker is the only one who can pull of that color palette. The others just look ridiculous.

This game assumes the player never played Persona 5 or 5R so having a single Cognitive makes no sense considering it's never brought up again. On top of that they still look like Shadows, if it was a proper Cognitive then it'd be a proper mirror to Joker's appearance.
RW:the odd thing about this fight is that i can easily compare it to MMPR in the episode “Mutant Rangers” where they have to fight evil counterparts of themselves or even from Power Rangers Wild Force too

I wish for this fight you got to use both sophie and zenkichi since they both don’t have a shadow to fight and would likely acknowledge shadow joker as a strong threat
Now I’m confused. This is a jail right and not a palace? How could a cognitive being be made in a jail? I thought only palaces can have cognitive versions of people
@@Yurihyuga766 let’s say jails are to hold the monarch captive by making them forget their trauma it’s still the meta verse so whatever they think as the place will transform into a different jail because of their cognition
a bit late but a good tactic is the keep your distance from fake joker and use your gun attack which shouldn't cost any bullets. Your special gun attack allows you to phantom dash up close and get some good hits in. Also anytime fake joker is not attacking is the only time he's able to be hit so you can run up to him, hit him a couple of times, and dash away. Only use your persona's for stat buff's and healing.
maybe Zenkichi or her phantom is supporting her team as well. She disappeared after the PT are done with their respective opponent and rain her with bullets right after.... Don't know.
Idk if you're still stuck or progressed, but I got a few tips based on my experience: 1.) Persona's may inflict ailments, but your opponent is not weak to any of the damage types, so conserve and use your Persona's wisely. 2.) Lock on to your target and watch his attacks. If he shoots, close the gap and get your hits in. If he lunges at you and starts his attack sequence (or combo), interrupt his attacks by shooting him and go ham after a follow up attack. 3.) Watch your surroundings, he can also do a phantom dash and attack from the poles, so keep your eyes on him and the poles. That's about it, hope it helps
A bit late, but I would assume it was more her Shadow itself creating the PT's and their weapons rather than the real one, since only the Shadow has seen them fighting. But that has many contradictions so I don't really know.
