Personal collection Mego Action Figures, Vintage World's Greatest Super Heros, 1970's, figures from childhood. Making repairs, restoration, and review. A two-in-one episode, show and tell of my personal collection and the steps I took to fix them up back into nice condition. Paint, fabric, missing foot, and making a reproduction paper decal (getting away from the vinyl material most commercial reproductions are printed on).
Shout out to Chicago Heights Illinois, my early childhood area growing up where I made many a trip to our Ben Franklin store at Olympia Plaza to look at all the Mego WGSH figures and dream about owning them all.

Great video! You are very methodical on repairs! I had Spidey, Shazam, Aquaman, and Batman (also Capt Kirk) as a kid. I just bought a '73 Batman in a local buy, and found out it was missing the pelvis, with the uniform holding all the parts together! That started me on a journey to fix it, very fun! Bought a pelvis 🤣 & restrung the limbs to the body, sewed up some holes, made a new cape & got repro boots, belt & gloves. Worth it - looks great!

Hi there Tim ive just been watching your video on major Matt fireball space cannon . I find if you use lighter fluid on the decals it gets rid of the glue as well even if the glue residue is stuck on the toy.

Will that yellow highlighter you used on the elastic bleed over time on the uniform?

The highlighter does stain fabric, in the sense that for this application it does what I need it to do, cover the white elastic. If the figure is stored in a area where conditions aren't ideal (humidity, heat, sun, etc.) I suppose there could be a chance of a transfer stain.
