Welcome to my personal review of Rose “ Noble Anthony” -(Ausway) bred by david Austin roses and introduced in 1995

for those of you looking for the perfect rose to cut and bring into the house this particular variety has strong upright Woody stems with blooms that face towards the sky held proudly above the plant
Eventually creating a shrub around 3.5‘ x 3.5‘ the flowers are deep magenta pink deeply textured and ruffled almost cabbage like in appearance, as the flower ages the petals slowly fold back to the flower stem giving each bloom a stunning three dimensional highly textured look
Flowers are produced freely from mid June into early September and are born individually and in small clusters of twos and threes
This particular rose is going to benefit from being planted in full and direct sunlight is dark green and highly textured. There is a small amount of barbing to the back of of the leaf stems so please be careful and remove these before displaying it in the house.
It has a varied thorn count much as the thorns are very small. They are needle Sharp and our present all the way to the back of the flower so do be careful when handling.
Fragrance wise is incredibly pleasant old rose based zesty with notes of lemon orange and grapefruit
As the flower fades much like new varieties such as Anne and Penelope lively this rose takes on a stunning platinum silver hue just before the petals drop
Due to its upright, strong and sturdy stems, this rose cuts very nicely and can be expected to last for about five to six days once brought into the house
