Thank you for your question. The two devices are similar with the same power output and frequencies used. The main differences are as follows: The Rescueme is a much smaller device than the Resqlink and also has a 7 year battery life, whereas the Resqlink has a 5 year battery life. The Resqlink is buoyant without the need for a buoyancy jacket, whereas the Rescueme relies on a buoyancy jacket. The Resqlink will be replaced by the manufacturer (ACR) if used in a real rescue situation. If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know.

I have & carry an ACR ResQLink in my left pant pocket. The pocket closure is with velcro. HOW/WHAT is the BEST way to secure a PLB on a person so that is stays with the person who has slipped & is falling several hundred feet downhill. A PLB is useless if its in a backpack that gets separated from a person during a fall. Also, during a fall, a person may have both arms broken & unable to get to a PLB in a backpack.

Hello, We aren't experts in Hiking and Trekking, our expertise being in using your PLB at sea and on the water. That being said, we agree with you keeping it handy and usable is incredibly important. The popular consensus seems to be that ideally you would carry your PLB in a belt pouch or zipped/velcro pocket on your trousers or shorts so it is as accessible as possible but also not at risk of being lost.
