I've been busy ok.
The only way I was able to rank this character was to put her versions on a CD and listen to it while driving to Halifax (5 hour drive) but there came a point where I needed to change the disc because this song is too relaxing to be safe for driving.
I heard Edda Backmann died this month! I didn't know, that's too bad, she was a very good Esmeralda...well watch the video and you'll see what I think of her. RIP.

Seeing Mietta that low was a bit of a shock for me, as I think she's one of the most beautiful dubbing voices we have in Italy, so I think it's difficult to find someone who doesn't like her husky, powerful and emotional singing, but it's your opinion after all^^ That said we disagree quite a lot here as my favourites are all over the place, from the bottom to the 2nd place xD I also don't agree with your number 1. She's good, and touching, but I think there are more momorable voice who did the same; but again opinions are opinions and everyone has its own, that's the fun part! :D

When I saw Italian, Norwegian and Finnish so low I was really shocked, because these versions are very beloved and I also love them so much but of course I respect your opinion. I've never been a fan of Vera Mann or Gihan so I would swap them with Norwegian, Finnish and Italian. I find it funny how Swedish is so high and Norwegian so low, because for me the Swedish voice sounds so similar to the Norwegian one :D Also thanks for 23th place : I totally agree! I've never been a fan of Ute and I like her even less as Ariel. I think I rather agree with this ranking, even though I have my disagreements. I'm glad to see Lara Fabian and Evy Krogh so high and of course Sertab & Edda (she's one of my least favourites for Jasmine but weirdly I love her Esmeralda so much) May she rest in peace! Your number 1 was really surprising, I wouldn't put her in the first place but I do really like her and love her even more as Mother Gothel. Overall this was a great ranking! I would like to see your opinion about Anastasia's voices, will you rank her?

I will do Anya someday, she's got the most dubs out of the non-disneys and she's the most often mistaken-for-Disney so it's surprising I didn't do it yet. I think in the back of my mind I was always just expecting that my anya rank would get taken down IMMEDIATELY because Anastasia is the most copyright strike movie out of the bunch.

What a unique list I must say, it's so interesting even if I disagree at some points. I didn't see Gihan's place coming at all although I already know that you're one of those who appreciate her, so interesting to see you find it better than some well-liked versions like English or French or. Haha I guess many would like to have it swapped with Italian, but thanks a lot for the high placement anyway :DD I'd don't like Thai, Sharon and Vera that much but some of my faves are up high like Cantonese, Canadian French, Icelandic and Turkish and the bottom 3 could easily be mine too. Great ranking^^ Out the rankings that are so boring for you to make, Belle's the only one left right? Good luck with it lol :p

Everyone that I've never done yet presents a few challenges. Snow White has soooo many dubs and some aren't in great quality. Cinderella also has a fairly large number and though I like the character, her song is a bit boring. Belle I still can't get a great feel for her voices though it's better than t used to be. I also have my matching Quasimodo rank for the Esmeralda rank but I got tied up with work and school so it isn't done yet. and lets not even talk about remakes -_- it seems as soon as I make a ranking a new version comes out.

The only one of those 4 I'd be super defensive on is Pia. Well, assuming you mean Allgaier not Douwes.

Ranee MacIntosh Yes, it's Pia Allgaier. I think she's a great singer, but I can't connect to her voice as a character from Disney. Same case of the other cited singers.

Well, here we go, Esmeralda. Like I somehow have always been in a way fascinated by her voices, I actually listened to them all before I even listened to Jasmine's voices, even though A Whole New World is my favorite Disney song. Idk, there's something so nice about this song despite its blatant boringness. Lol, of course same last place. Damn, Spanish languages on the bottom 3. Understandable imo, don't really like any of them. Polish is surprising though, I didn't expect her to be THAT low, I love her tbh, to me she's one of the most 'powerful' Esmeralda voices. After that, a lot of major agreements and some disagreements (Italian, Russian) in between. Lol this might be the one time where I have a Thai voice lower than you :P I still think Pusacha is a decent Esmeralda, definitely overhated. I love the description of Brazilian as having a "lion's roar" in her voice, that sounds so accurate to me. Real talk, even though I do it literally all the time, I usually don't like saying "oh wow, we have the same voice on this place" or stuff like that because, you know, things can change and maybe if I make my video that voice might be on a totally different place. But I HAVE to mention that your 13, 12 and 11 are my 12, 11 and 10 respectively which, like what are the odds!? ALSO seeing Juwita Suwito in the top 5 (which yeah, same tbh) reminds me, have you heard her Giselle yet? :D Her HWS has been uploaded, forgot on which channel tho. Aw, I've never seen Edda get such a high placement, she really deserves it, her best role, RIP. And yeah I honestly didn't love Alkistis at first but your Greek ranking made me see her in a different light, out of all the soft-sung Esmeralda's she definitely stands out by being so saddened and heart-felt. Epic ranking as always :3

I especially like Alikistis for her diversity since she's among my top favorites for both Esmeralda and GOTHEL. It's sorta like Weina being a fav for both Giselle and Elsa who are just completely dissimilar characters too. Speaking of people who play multiple characters but still fit, I actually DID NOT KNOW there was a malay Enchanted with Juwita! I feel like she won't be the best since Juwita was ideal for Rapunzel, Esmeralda, and Pocahontas, which are much less girly characters with a gruff edge to the singing but I'll have to check it out in a sec!

I have never heard of a voice more exactly that than Juwita, she's an actual vocal chameleon, she nails absolutely every song she sings without sounding distractingly similar to any of her other roles. I personally love her Giselle, she even showed some never-before-heard cuteness which I like. Immediate fave once again imo.

Just listened to it, doesn't even sound like her in some parts! She just has a totally different attitude and sounds much cuter. Though I still don't ike her Giselle as much as her other characters. But seeing as she's my 4th Esmeralda, 7th Pocahontas, and 5th or 6th Rapunzel, I don't think it's much of an insult to say I don't place her as high as that.

Tbh I'm pretty sure she'd be top 5 for Giselle for me, but I agree that it's probably the least awesome of her roles so far, though I could be swayed by a dreamy True Love's Kiss if she managed to deliver that. I think you're right, she's so 100% perfectly fit for Rapunzel, Pocahontas and Esmeralda, and then Giselle is just a totally different character from them so it shouldn't really work, but I think for a voice as hers she made a better-than-expected-even-though-I-already-expected-something-awesome Giselle.

I don't care about Esmeralda's voices nor her song but I sure as hell disagree with Italian Arabic and Norwegian I don't really get why you talk about imagining/picturing a voice on a character it doesn't make sense to me at all Maybe husky,deep voices work the best with this character and the easiest to imagine with but that doesn't mean softer/lighter voices don't work I rarely agree with you but for God's sake you're good at making comments I can't at all -_-

Well if she can't see these voices on Emseralda, why would she force herself ? I have the same problem, as long as I don't imagine a voice on a character, I won't be able to like her/him...
