This is something I've thought a lot about and it bugs me quiet a bit how MBTI obfuscates the original intent and produces a somewhat simplistic picture, this in turn means that there's a lot of people who overlook the original theory and will label it as meaningless. I mean, imagine if the big 5 proposed that there's only 25 personalities. Even the four letter code seems like an attempt to make something simpler yet somehow manages to create a code that newcomers of the system still can't remember, and the J and P part imply substantial meaning when it might not always mean much. Perhaps I should just call it psychological type or cognitive type from now on, using TiNe as a code, but then the average person will have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.

Agree. My presentation of personality can vary but my cognitive processes in taking in life/information has been pretty stable my whole life. 👍🏼

I’m so glad RU-vid recommended your channel to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with others. Explaining a very difficult series of psychological viewpoints and goals. Great job. Definitely have a new subscriber and patron from me. 🙌💯

i agree with everything you're saying bruh like thank you for this but how tf are we gonna empirically design a scale to measure the presence of cognitive functions jungian theory is gonna continue to be considered as a joke in the scientific community if we don't prove it has objective value grounded in psychological research i'm scared.

You can be the same psychological type and have different personalities. Psychological doesn't equal personality. One has to do with psychological processes while the other is the wholistic way you present yourself to the world. One relies on the mind, I think the other relies on behavior.

Wonderful breakdown about the essential differences between typing models and their scopes. This is very important as often different models are mixed together when describing them. Thank you!

Excellent overview of the subject! Unrelated: do you still provide any type of coaching? After listening to a bunch of your videos in the last couple of days I'd love to be able to get some personally focus guidance (INFJ struggling to find balance between family obligations/quality time and a badly neglected need to be a hermit, essentially. Fe standing in the way of Ni etc. ) Thanks.

My dudes , u can’t label the brain . Yes others and research can label u. We can evolve these types. Meditation increases ur emotions and resonate them. Then u can be a thinker at the same time. If anything u can challenge and change types if u want. But if u don’t care. Then be happy!
