Loved the first presenter. As for the second presenter, I'm so glad that outlining works for her. I've been an attorney for 40+ years and I don't outline. Thinking like a writer, you will realize that there is no one right way to write. I do agree with revision, more revision, and more revision. Whether you revise your outline or your draft, good writing is in the revision process. As for the last guy--when he gets to that we must have all suffered some form of injury to not mind this abuse--too funny! and so true!
When I was in law school (many years ago), I attended his CLE on legal writing. I still refer to his book “Thinking like a writer”, co-authored with Stephen Armstrong. Game changer.
Prof. Terrel is an incredible teacher of law. I wish I could listen to more of his lectures. I retain information much better with such kind of teaching.
Very informative and useful. Humor parts enjoyable also. Would be more helpful that in doing video for youtube, to put the writings the persons in the crowd present there are instructed to read on the screen in the background. The hosts of video for youtube remember there are 2 audiences when preparing for these speaking events. Otherwise it is only halfway helpful here on youtube.
I have been seeking a lawyer since 1964. To have my adoption nullified, and sue the people that abused me. And, not have that authority or custody be given back to my biological relatives. Do not want my husband's relatives to have authority or custody. 3/6/21. And, to have the pedophile that raped me arrested and convicted. Take back my legal birth certificate.
lots of times the words flow out then others nothing - the "placeholder" comment helped me add that to my method and thus "keep the flow" rolling coming back to the hole, the placeholder later
@Kendrick Louie is there a law in your country prohibiting this unlawful behavior? I bet if you research - there is? For one- the right to ones privacy - and secondly - maybe theft or breach of the e-commerce regulations
The first speaker was like listening to an infomercial. He kept saying what he would say but took forever to get to the point too wordy but overall a helpful video. Thank you.
For nearly 400 years in the USA; orphans, foster and adopted children have not had proper protection. There have not been federal laws that are applied to all 50 states. Crimes against these people should not have a statue of limitations. Whatever crime, abuse or rape is not always reported. Rape should never have a statue of limitations. Rape in the military should be litigated in a public court of law. Take it out of the jurisdiction of the military. Regardless of if these people are in the military or not--the crime(s) needed to be prosecuted.
How about the client who is expecting to be treated fairly, competently, and jusly. Should he suffer simply because the lawyer made a poor brief, or the judge getting made about it?.
