Hi Julie, just found your Video and was very nice to watch. I am originally from W.A. and the thing I miss most from there are the native Orchids. Was back there last year but the orchid season was about 3 weeks late because of the cooler weather last year so missed out on most but still found some.
Thank you for watching. I was wanting to get out there and film some native orchids in their habitat. Unfortunately, I’ve had a recent injury and I am unable to get out bush this year. Hopefully 🤞 next year.
Love it! Finally some orchid flowers again. 👍👍👍 While down under Pterostylis are in full bloom, here they are (going) dormant now. Was at the best Belgian orchid nursery today and there they stood, all almost empty pots with labels. The owner of the nursery grows these as a hobby.
Fabulous orchid flowers at that. My collection is starting to get more frequent flowerings, but most of my collection are seedlings 😕. So I still have a few more years to wait until I get (hopefully) something in bloom year round Yes, our orchids are coming into their time to shine here in Oz. Pterostylis curta is an unusually shaped flower … if you could ever get your hands on some of their bulbs they are an interesting orchid to grow
@@JuliesOrchids 👍 Pterostylis I have grown but our climate is changing over the last years and they don't do well in winter here any more, under my growing conditions.
O, Julie don't mind camera runs very fast. All the orchids colours , patterns are marvelous. What is the name of the orchid that saw in first step, this is the Dendrabium orchid.
No worries 😌. Thank you for your floral art for the show. Super happy to showcase our local growers and artists. Hope you enjoyed the weekend, there sure was a lot going on in the greater Perth area.
