I had this issue and as others have said it was down to older firmware on the perun. Paired it with a base motor. Sometimes the perun would flash the error for a short on startup. If it picked it up fine the vector worked. But given the electical cutoff on the safety and rubbing kit you could be mid game go to shoot and.... Nothing. As an added issue when i soldered the safety pads together so the vector immediately got power from the battery it always caused the short code every time Perun were very good i shipped it off to them and ficed it quickly. The technical reason i was given was due to the slight differences per motor due to the windings and the higher amount of current drawn on startup by brushless motors it would sometimes trip the overcurrent protection. The updated firmware just ups that limit a tiny bit to allow for the varience. This also fixed bypassing the safety cuttoff on my vector
I had this issue with compatibility a while back where I would turn the safety off and the perun would fail to find the motor for a few moments before engaging and it turned out to be that I had a perun mosfet with slightly older firmware on it, perun were very nice and said I could either send it to them where they would update it and send it back and all I would have to do is to pay shipping, or I could purchase a new one with a massive discount, as I am impatient and didn't want to wait for shippin I bought a new one and since installation have had 0 issues
Hi, does the short warhead 52k motor fit in just fine without needing to shave off the stem where the pinion gear goes (unlike what I see on other videos?)
I've tested every battery I have here, like, 12 different batteries of 7.4v, 11.1v, Lipo, LiOn, loads - I'm not going to buy more batteries just to test, the units work together no matter what I did.
