I feel I was highly critical given how much I love this year's game, but it's a big step in the right direction overall as far as gameplay is concerned. Can't wait for all the PC mods!
I'm so dissappointed. I just played my first two online games of the demo and it's more aggregating than fifa 19 imo. It still has the BS where you'll cutoff a pass but your player will spread his legs to let the ball go through like fifa has, why on earth do football game devs think that's a thing that should be in the game?? Nothing is more annoying than sprinting to cutoff a pass because you know where your opponent is going and then your player just spreads his legs. Like, W.. T.. FFFFF is that stupid animation? Also tackling goes back to opponent, passing goes the wrong direction often and crossing seems way OP. I'm not sold yet, I'm actually very sad I thought this could be the year they finally crush EA but the game feels more annoying to play than fifa 19 which I didn't think was possible.
Nope, player switching is HORRIBLE online as well. Literally ten times worse than fifa. I'll pass. It was a good effort PES but the game still blows ass
@daniiNL man i just went and played a game of fifa after a few of pes and Holy shit its way better. It's actually exciting. Pes is slow motion, glitchy garbage imo. I want them to be better than fifa SO bad but it's just not
Deescrypto I agree with you. Using players like Dybala, Jao Felix, Morata is a joy. But I feel the standing tackles are heavily overpowered and don’t draw enough fouls as should. I feel the demo was inconsistent but more realistic with the fouls, you have to think before you rush at the opponent. Now you mindlessly hold x or press with secondary man without a care in the world. Once this is fixed, the game will be really good. Majority of the gameplay elements this year are near perfect.
Yo guys. Any football heads, this game right here is the greatest football game ever made. I’m so blown away. Don’t sleep on it. You need to get familiar with it as well. It has a beautiful pace and way of defending, you just have to get aquainted. An absolute stunner
Once you get used to the game, you begin to like it, then love it, it is a complex game with many little fantastic moments, like the way the keepers act in different situations is amazing to me, the way defending feels real, the way people slip in the rain, its everything i always wanted in a game, i never get tired of playing, which is the biggest compliment you can give in my opinion. Great video!

Could not agree more! Great summary of the game and how well it has improved this year. The only thing I noticed about the Referees, they gave fouls for the last infringement before the whistle is blown. So even if you have been fouled, if play continued for a second and you fouled the AI after then the AI would get the free kick. I got the occasional crazy foul where I've had a shot, followed through and kicked the defender and the defender got a foul. Not a game breaker just annoying really. Adam has said PES has already addressed the issues, so fingers crossed! Love the videos mate 👍

Playing the finished article the goalkeepers are phenomenal. I played a game earlier when the keeper made 3 saves in 5 seconds, the third effort I thought was in and gave up only to see the keeper somehow get to it. Superb
Gameplay seams good. AI is weak but that's the difficulty. The replay camera is garbage. FIFA was the same for years so I been playing nba2k since 11. But this game make me wanna play soccer/football again. Getting some lovely goals from crosses.
The demo realistic really good. There are problems but overall is a very nice football simulation. I would like to have a little more off the ball movement from my teammates to give more variation in gameplay. A little bit more lateral and diagonal movement, players switching positions and so on, but overall is very very good.
This game is slow, slower than ever, but I often get this strange urgency, like I was playing real football, every successful tackle, every shot feels something you earned for. I can't wait to plunge myself itno the Master League as a player and as a manager
I just paid £6 on PSN for this game and to be honest it's pretty crap in my opinion. Defense is basically " press x to win". Master league is pointless after 3 seasons or so. Stupid youth regens. Dribbling is awful, pacey players can't get past anyone, Messi plays like Akinfenwa. Commentary is god awful as usual. Every AI attack ends in " turn and shoot". Never from a cross ever. I can't stand FIFA but this ,even for £6 is a real letdown. I'm gutted.
last years pes game had to much lag , pes 2020 i didnot get any lag playing online . i hope the full game plays like the demo. pes have outdone themselves this time ,finally they got it right.
Damn, I've played PES 18 recently and after years of playing FIFA(11,13,15,16,19), FIFA looks like a football GAME but PES feels like a REAL football match. Dude, if I haven't had seen your videos about PES I would have never guessed PES was trying to become good. BTW why do PES players look fat from the waist below? One thing I say that FIFA is better is the UI and the environment we get in the stadium. I hope PES can keep up, although it may seem a small concern for them, I still believe it gives the game an look a real game.

Couple of things I don’t like, the main one being how easily the CPU score from free-kicks unless you ‘cheat’ and move the GK around manually. It’s almost like the GK’s have set animations to watch the ball go past them as they would easily just catch the long shot from the same distance.
Mate, in PES 19 players felt more weightier and unique to control, it seems like they removed the weight feature, probably to increase the responsiveness. I'm not liking it, what'd you think?

Dynamic potential and morale has been in PES since 2005. Manager customizations has been in there for years, press conferences and player interactions will be in both games but PES at E3 announced it first Now this is more than half what EA announced as gameplay and career mode improvements in their pitch notes - straight copy paste from PES Which skill moves did PES copy? You said PES copied skill moves from FIFA this year, but you can't say which? 😁 BTW, close control dribbling with the likes of Neymar in PES is 90% similar to the 360 dribble of FIFA

You keep evading my question : which skill move did PES copy *this year* from FIFA? I know exactly the reasons why FIFA is ahead. Licensing, marketing and the online structure. It's not the actual on-pitch gameplay. Care to explain why PES sells more than FIFA in Brazil, Argentina, Japan and a few Middle East countries? BTW, if you think a new engine will fix robotic movements and clunkiness, then you don't understand how engines work. PES 19 sold 3.2 million, pretty impressive for an unlicensed and much less popular game. Also there's the option file situation with Xbox users. FIFA 19 sold 22(FIFA 18 sold 24M, so a decline) PES died in 08 and 14 but has been climbing steadily since then

Great game, but the goalies are actually too good. Too many speedy reactions both high and low and exaggerated jumps. However, I think the two handed top corner saves are gone this year, so that't a plus.
Your right about the refs. Unplayable until the sort this out. You cant use the tackle button, everything is virtually a yellow card. Its ruining what could be excellent.
Nah I think I learned the angle to tackle an opponent and I'm glad you can no longer spam the button. They just need to deal with the follow through non-fouls that get called.
What’s annoying about the demo is you can’t change the time per game so you can get a real feel for the way it plays, why they won’t allow that I’ve literally no idea. The game though is great much improved but oh yes the referees are still annoying as ever
I've played the demo more times than FIFA 19 😂 never really played PES before but fuck FIFA and fuck EA. I also love how you can play online with the demo.
Am i the only one thinking that the gk is broken af. They save goals that they are not supposed to save. It’s annoying because it almost feels like the computer decide which shot to let in amd which shot to block, and then just animate the goal keeper to perform the action.
At this point I'm just done with football game Fifa is a cash grab, Pes is infuriatingly inconsistent, the menus are out dated and slow, the gameplay is being ruined by unfair refreeing and uninventive, the stadium sounds are embarassing, offline modes have been repeted yearly online is plagued with bad servers and p2p nekworking, its like pes has advanced graphics and ancient game design. Just done with football games.
@Bobby Cooke Shows how much you know. Fox engine was released in 2013, first used in PES 14. Frostbite v1 was made back in 2008, Frostbite v2 in 2011 and the current Frostbite v3 is made in 2014. 1 year difference. Only good thing about the Frostbite engine is its collision engine which when combined with destruction engine 2.0, was perfect for Battlefield. The engine itself was made for Battlefield and doesn't suit football. Period. Fox engine is merely the lighting engine, which is praised by critics for it's photorealism. The physics engine for PES is Havok, which is one of the best out there. Stop spreading misinformation. EA employees themselves called the Engine as a 'Razorblade'. It's the worst optimized and least user friendly engine out there
