Like watching golf. This guy really has a talent for capturing the environment and his narration is so organic. A strange formula for a blood splattering fix, but it all is put together so well... Oh, and ummm.. "Straight to the brain"

I like how the pheasants didn't care that an animal just died in front of them as if they know they're not being hunted

As I have said before: I grew up with Pheasants in my neighborhood, outside of Boston, and never saw a hen. Bloody beautiful area around you; I hope you realize this. As long as you make these videos, I'll keep watching them. Cheers from Denver!

Just being outside, listening to and seeing nature... It's quite a lovely area there where you are. I'm living in Denver. I can take a drive, to get away from the urban sprawl, which is getting larger every day. Please enjoy where you live. Cheers!

For the sections that were sped-up, I was thinking that playing "Yackaty Sax" like they used to on the Benny Hill Show would be apropos... Ok, maybe not but was a thought that crossed my mind.

Grey squirrels are eating every single one of my backyard tomatoes, assisted nightly by rats. Your videos make me wish I could eliminate them all with an air rifle, but this is the suburbs and I can't. I just have to watch here and fantasize.
@SquirrelHunter
@SquirrelHunter 7 лет назад
If I was in your position and air rifles were out of the question, I would get MK4 fenn traps set around the tomatoes. You can check them daily with ease and they are very effective!

Absolutely agree about damage done to trees. There is a big Ash tree which stands by a footpath that i use regularly. A huge bough broke off in a gale a couple of years ago exposing the inside of the trunk, which looks like a sponge due to damage caused by these squirrels - they STILL use the rest of the tree, so it's only a matter of time before the rest comes crashing down all 40/50ft of it ! i just hope no one is near when this happens. Incidentally, as you keep your home area "quiet", i would hazard a guess at Herefordshire certainly looks like that counties typical rural scenes.

Short but sweet set of sessions, SH. Always lovely to see the P.Y.O. farm, and watch the pheasants while at it, why not? So besides the squirrels, that as you said are not the easiest targets this time of year when feeders are not as attactive, we have grounds for hunting down magpies, pigeons and maybe even rabbits. No one can say you won't have potential material to work with in the future! :D That shot on the lid chewer was beautiful. Unusual position for sure, but still popped his noggin like a grape.

Thank you for the reply. It is a game of patience, which my friend I have learnt from you.When to take the shot (frustrating as it can be!) and all the other things. Have been on rabbits the past two weekends and I have got to say they are hard work compared to squizzers- even though the new permission has literally hundreds of the bloody things- they just melt away as soon as I pull up and then it is the game of --yep you guessed PATIENCE!! However sitting in the beautiful countryside listening to my beloved song birds and getting away from all the crap life throws at you is a reward in itself.Keep up the good work mate and will always try to emulate your good work.

Didn't see any squirrel needing a second lump of lead so usual high standard. I've been watching a few videos that show slow motion which even lets you see the pellet which really adds to the program , maybe more work but well worth it I recon.

I hunt/ pest control with my Gamo hornet maxxim .177 as for ammo I usually go with golden fliers they are expensive but probably the hardest hitting and most effective pellets I have used P.s. They are quite a bit different from other ammo so you have to adjust your scope a little bit

Dear Mr. Sniper. Do you prefer the .22 or the .177 cal when you go on these eliminations??? I know it depends on what you are shooting, but I need to eliminate some gray squirrels out of my Mothers house,as they are destroying the soffits on her house. Can't afford a PCP yet as I have been seriously hurt at work. Seems like that .177 cal is pretty deadly.

Hi all, I'm a young man (18) whose owned an air rifle for some time now, however I've only really shot paper, I'm looking to get into hunting. I'm looking for some advice with regards to securing some permission land, how do you go about getting land to shoot on ?
@SquirrelHunter

Ask politely, let your friends and family know you are looking, get some insurance, be prepared to hear the word "no" a lot ;-)
@anorthernsoul5600
@anorthernsoul5600 7 лет назад
Hi Jack We own land and we only allow shooters we know to come on our fields (I also shoot). May seem harsh but that's the way it is. But if someone we know brings along a friend they can vouch for that's usually ok by us. I would suggest join a local air rifle gun club and seek out those who do pests control for farmers etc. Be polite, ask for advice with a smile, and they'll probably take you with them on a shoot at some point. Also worthwhile carrying references with you. Best of luck.
