Exact. the screams and that supernatural voice give it a much creepier touch. since it is practically the Wendigo who screams with rage for having failed in his goal of murdering jeff and his father
I love the book and the first movie so much and I know many people think the sequel is completely stupid and unnecessary, but for some reason it still scares me much more than the original. And he is also very sad and makes me cry, to be honest. Especially the whole line with the main character's mother. It devastates me. I don't think this movie is bad.
To be fair, while this version was more detailed and disturbing, her acting was a bit over the top and made her come off sounding wooden, especially at the start. Not the same with the theatrical version. Honestly, I would have gone with either, but the wendigo seemed more pronounced in the theatrical version and her words slower, louder, fiercer and memorable.
ALTERNATE FAN ENDING: Renee takes the gun from Chase's hand and puts it down. They both kiss. As they kiss, she grabs a piece of the broken mirror, and she stabs him to death. Clyde, who was resurrected, helps bury Chase in the Pet Sematary along with Marjorie, while Jeff and Renee embrace and listen to the Ramones song Pet Sematary which is playing on the radio.
