OMG! My #1 Duo/Favorite of ALL TIME!! PSB! Been doing the same for about 6 months now! Finishing my complete collection! Although I do love the other groups as well, but I have ALL CD's, CD singles/maxi singles, LE everything of PSB. No vinyl anymore, I sold off many years ago & most went to Mexico oddly & I am in the US. Never thought it would have a revival in the early 2000's when you couldn't give vinyl away! Only 12" maxi singles had value or very rare pressings. Great video!
I love PSB - always have from the outset. I have a MCMLXXXIX T Shirt from Wembley 1989 as well as many memories from all the other tours. Its amazing how fast time flies. Got "It Couldn't Happen Here" on VHS too.. "Stil running VHS here - old school! Hope the delayed tour due to the pandemic is back on the road soon. I have good seats! peace and love folks - stay safe
Excellent collection of Pet Shop Boys you have there. Got quite a big collection myself. I'm from the UK but moved to Japan in 1998 so my collection is a massive mix of UK release, especially the 12" singles and mix collections and Japanese releases. Like yourself, I buy CD and records mostly. The last 3 albums had to be bought from the official Pet Shop Boys store for record releases but bought the Japanese CDs here. Was very lucky to get a signed album cover print of Hot Spot wit my album. That's now framed on the wall. In April 2019 I saw the boys live in Osaka. It was an awesome show. Total sell out at over 3000 people and they loved the show. Search RU-vid for " Updated - Pet Shop Boys - Super Tour 2019 - Japan - Festival Hall Osaka" to see it.
This was lovely - thank you for sharing your joy. But LIZA / RESULTS, what do you mean you never owned it? You must get it. It is genius / bad / mad / eccentric / brilliant all at once! And it's stood the test of time. It's such a mixed bag that surely you'll fall in love with two or three tracks on it. Indeed, LOSING MY MIND is one of my favourite singles ever - by anyone. LOVE PAINS is fantastic and so are the remixes. TWIST IN MY SOBRIETY and RENT are both slightly insane - albeit in different wings of sanitarium. There is silly '80s drama pop and lush PSB at their finest (think BEHAVIOUR). Synths. Orchestra. A+ arrangements. Backing vocals. It's all quite stunning.
Happy new year to you! There are two CD singles of I Get Along and one DVD single containing the video of I Get Along/Email and the track Friendly Fire.
Yes, the yellow sleeve on LTMOD was a limited edition. They also did limited double sleeves for Domino Dancing and others. The limited It's Alright had a belly band.
Great video. I have been buying their singles since 2002 and have most of their single releases from Nightlife onwards plus a mix of earlier stuff. Mostly on cd and nearly all of the recent vinyl. I didn't get the Electric singles on cd and sadly they're too expensive to get now.
A nice collection there. I particulary liked the Dusty one. You've certainly set yourself a bit of a mammoth task though collecting all their singles. I lost track of a lot of bands single releases in the digital era as it's a bit of a trend now to put out an album track to promote a new album but it's not necessarily a single release and when the singles do come out, theres sometimes only a few weeks (or even a few days!) between releases - it's all very confusing.
