Carson Turner please don’t! If your room smells get a fan and air it out. You should be cleaning the cage and room with a gentle chemical built for sensitive animals regularly to help reduce smell. Diet also helps a ton with smell so if you feed them bad their stool will smell bad.
I've never thought about the "If it's a puppy/kitten, people would care" statement. That's such a valid point, yet people look at other small pets, and they view them as lesser. It's heartbreaking. Regardless of size or popularity of the pet, it's still a life that should be respected and loved. ❤️☹️

bathing animals for views is such a big thing on tik tok and i absolutely hate it. i’m guessing it’s just because it’s easy content to get views off of. i’ve seen so many bathing hamster & rabbit videos as well animals that should absolutely never be bathed. it’s really sad tik tok brings out the worst in people

Honestly read "beating animals for views" and I was like wtf kind of platform is tiktok 😂 but yeah bathing more than once or twice a year is bad. Negligence is definitely a form of abuse, and ignorance is just as bad.

The problem is these people don’t do their research (and same for the viewers, they won’t know) so they do harm or something wrong to a pet for views and it spreads around because a lot of people on tik tok just want attention. I Honestly don’t understand what was going through that guy’s head when he Grabbed your ferret and flew around the room. Like who thinks that ok. You can tell ferret didn’t like it. The second I saw the video and saw his username I mediately looked him up and reported it because it’s just so not ok and people need to know that. If people actually do the right Research they would know not to do that and it’s so sad how many people don’t do there research 🙄 none of the comments where talking about how bad it was and just saying he funny the video was. Chloe Grace i just went on there and attacked them with “tik tok vet” comments and now i’m just waiting on ppl to come at me saying that i need to do research or something saying it doesn’t hurt them at all and the ferrets had fun 🙄 while i’m over here with four ferrets that i love dearly and binging her videos. i’m p sure i’ve seen almost all of them. she really has helped me with my babies. but i really just can’t stand how ppl think this is ok😔

I got my ferret today and it is already my pride and joy! Since schools are closed I’m able to give it tons and tons of playtime! Even when school starts back up next school year I plan to keep my ferret happy and have tons of playtime!
You're supposed to use lukewarm water (for ferrets) because they can't feel heat the same way as we can she talked about that once when I find the video I'll link it.
21:33 They look like marshmallows with food colouring to me. Also, recently I’ve been thinking I should wait to get ferrets. Maybe when I have my own house and have more money saved up. I’ll still be supporting the channel, because I’m not just here for the knowledge. I love this channel and you guys! So yeah, gonna hold of on the ferrets. One of the reasons why is because of my pets I already have, I have three cats, and I’m not saying that it’s bad to have ferrets and cats, it’s just.. my cats have hurt lots of animals outside, they’re very hyper and wild and I just wanna be safe. I also have two dogs who are hyper and love to hunt. In my opinion, not safe to have ferrets around them. Another reason, there’s two things I’ve done SO much research on and I’m still not completely sure. 1. Medication/diseases/etc. And 2. Raw feeding, Diseases I know can be very dangerous (obviously) but also, it’s hard to get surgery and vet shots because of their stress and more. This is from what I’ve read so not completely sure. And with raw feeding, I think I wanna do commercial grind, but I think that (I forget what it’s called) the raw feeding that Bryn does has the most benefits. So I want to wait till I understand that way more so my ferrets will have more benefits from that. I don’t want my ferrets to get hurt from my lack of knowledge. Here’s some more reasons: I don’t think I have enough money saved up, I want more space for my ferrets (I was thinking maybe a room to themselves and also have full access to the house) and also don’t want to be taking up space in my parents home for my ferrets. And one BIG thing, my area doesn’t have a near-by vet that they can go to, we have vets but they won’t take ferrets in. We also don’t have anywhere to get them from that isn’t from a pet store and I will never buy from a pet store, or support it in any way. In the end, I just want what’s best for my future ferrets. When I get a ferret or even if I don't I will try to be as responsible as I can be, I will make a video on tik tok saying that we really have to take care of ferrets and not treat them right only for a something thousand liked video, make a tik tok video with not harming your ferret, some people have to know this.

I have a car and I might be getting a ferret, so I can understand the bathing thing. The only time we washed our cats fur was when he was really sick. We haven't washed him since but he is so soft and clean.

I am really annoyed at my mom and grandma because even though I have done extensive research they are afraid of ferrets because they think they "kill for fun" and "are not domesticated" when in reality yes they might kill for fun but we kill more animals than they do each year and also mitochondria can has figured out that they have been domesticated for 2 ,500 YEARS
If you still with your parents you probably shouldn't be getting ferrets, I mean, if they don't want the pet and you manage to get it anyway then they aren't going to help with the care. I don't know your age but it's too much care for a child/young teen to manage

I plan on getting ferrets either within the next week or in a few months after I move and I’ll be honest.. I want to make the oven tiktok. I saw a few different versions and one with cats. The difference with that one though is the person was like, “This one is a lil crispy” (black cat) “this one is somehow underbaked and crispy” (black and white cat “this.. I don’t even want to know how this happened” (calico/tortoiseshell cat) I mainly enjoyed the video because I thought the guy was funny and the cats were really cute :) I don’t think people have ill intentions when it comes to making those videos and it usually makes a lot more sense with the sound on. Tiktok is mainly about having fun and joking around.. I know a lot of videos you were right about but the last one kinda got to me
I have been given a ferret in late January by a friend who couldn’t give proper care to her. I’ve noticed she is a bitting ferret I would be ok with that but she bits over and over. I asked the previous owner and she said that she lived with about 16 other ferrets. I don’t think she has been around people long enough to understand she is not playing with another ferret. I really need to try different ways to get her to stop biting. I need some tips.

Oh, and at 21:36 I don't know for sure, but my educated guess is "Marshmallows with food coloring"... but I am guessing (and of course that's a terrible thing to give to a ferret if true).
Yeah Marshalls be like "Ok lets mass produce a bunch of ferrets super prone to a lot of diseases due to bad conditions and bad breeding, THEN make our own ferret food and treats which are super bad for them and doesn't give them anything AND THEN, let's make some toys for profit to mass breed more ferrets."

I hardly ever bathe my ferret! but, when I do, I do sink baths with no water. I use water, I just don’t do deep baths. I found out by one of your videos that tea tree is toxic. so I switched to no tea tree! can you give me your opinion on this?
Some people even go as far as buying any animal for a video and getting "clout" and after just completely not taking care of the animal or giving them up for adoption. Many people also think that ferrets can just be let out into the wild which they cannot since they are domesticated animals.

Riku Animations ferret proof ur room and let them have free roam with the cage open to get food and sleep. i don’t really recommend keeping them in the cage unless you’re not home. i let mine roam all day with supervision. they’re just like cats and dogs. i wouldn’t recommend a cage for them so i wouldn’t recommend one for ferrets either
Playing with a ferret gently is ok since they are very flexible they don't mind. Spinning makes them dizzy but they still love their owners as much as they can. Ferrets are like crack noodles. Flexible and energetic.
Really appreciate your videos. I have a serious question about helping my ferret. He's a 3 yr old male and has recently become very itchy. He had what looked like a skin colored mole pop up almost overnight and itched it raw until it bled. Its now scabbed over and I'm trying to keep him from scratching so it heals. But today I found fresh dried blood and matted fur on his lower side. Cleaned it off and sure enough watched him scratch the area with his hind leg half an hr later. How can I relieve his itchiness and keep him from causing a wound? I clip his nails weekly, his diets not changed or anything new. Just want to give my baby relief in a safe way. Advice pls?
I heard that after a bath, you could put coconut oil on your ferret's fur, to stop them from having to compensate for the lack of natural oils, and also so that the hairballs can pass through easier when they lick themselves. What do think about this? I know it's probably not good for them to eat coconut oil but i wanted to ask you anyways :)
Iasmina Oana Hi! I’d say no :) Ferrets either way are going to lick themselves after a bath it’s just a natural thing that they do putting on coconut oil is not good for them and should not be done :)

Okay, so I decided to go and see the scruffing spinning ferret video for myself and was horrified to see that first of all people were supporting him (some were of-course against it but not as many) second of all he never adressed this issue and kept the video up just because he got many likes, and lastly in the video before the spinning one he was saying "fun fact ferrets always land on their belly" and he threw his ferret from pretty high onto his bed and still posted it. I am utterly disgusted in people like that since you should not be posting content that is clearly abusive. If he does not make a disclaimer video or delete his post I will be forced to report that video.

Floofy Ferret [Mod] 1. Baths once or twice a year using the oats. If they get into mud or dirt or something crazy an oat bath or just plain water bath will do. 2. There’s way too many to list. She has videos on this channel as well as her instagram and blog on this topic. 3. Ferret nation is a type of cage! 4. Ferrets are social. ALWAYS 2! 5. Bigger the cage the better. Just know your ferret will be happier with another ferret friend. I had a lone ferret for 5 months and when i got him a friend he changed COMPLETELY. He was a lot happier and more active. 6. If you change their bedding (i.e., blankets) and feed them a proper diet they will not smell. 7. Anything food/treat/care that is marketed for ferrets should most likely be avoided. This channel advocates a biologically appropriate diet but has reviews on various kibble/ferret products. 8. If it isn’t too hot or cold they can have supervised play outside with you
Honestly, some people (most people) don't deserve any animal. How could anyone do that to any animal. Even if they don't know any better they should do as much research possible. Which they would if they really did care for there well being. I get so mad, sad and angry at people who neglect animals. I'm not saying I'm perfect but I do as much research as possible (even with animals that I don't own. And I know more then some people who own that animal)

Also my female ferret got into the bathroom the other day and knocked down the trash can and got stuck in a toilet paper roll but I found out she was in there since the bathroom door was open and it is usually shut so she doesn't go in there and I picked her up and took it off right when I saw her in it
I got so mad about the molasses post. Sugar is so bad for ferrets and molasses is like maple syrup for horses (I know this because I used to own a horse) it like strait sugar. Horses are huge animals and they only really have molasses as a little treat in a bucket of oats or something I used to put water in a bucket of oats and mix in a bit of molasses (water bc she was old and she couldn’t chew the oats without them being soft) but the point I’m trying to get across is DONT GIVE YOUR FERRETS MOLASSES!!!
Remember that not all ferret TikTok's are bad, some of the videos can promote good things and the correct way to bathe them and things like that. It could just be them recording playtime or sleep time, not hating just saying that TikTok doesn't promote only bad things
I really don't want to buy from Petco, but aren't really any ferret breeders in my area to speak of, and there are two shelters, one of which has no ferrets, and the other has only three choices, and I may consider two of them, but there's really not much of an option. Even Petco only has two currently. I heard there's a shortage because they're being tested on to research covid.

I don't bathe mine at all. You don't need to, it won't reduce their smell anyways but rather make it worse and irritate their skin. So you can totally not do baths :D
