There's sort of this obsession with torture porn when someone wants to send home a point, like people who are obsessed with making movies about black suffering, the holocaust, or adding r4pe scenes randomly to movies featuring women, almost as if they're 'romanticizing' the pain even if it's traumatic for these people to witness. They're serious issues but repeatedly exposing people to this stuff in GRAPHIC DETAIL isn't doing what it's meant to do.
@uniquenewyork3325 I honestly hate r*people scenes, like yes it happens in the real world but no, you don't need to show this violent graphic scenario to portray it, you can literally just talk about it and say how vile the act is
@@dakotawarner9414 the scene drives the point across way better than just talking about it, BUT you are correct that you don't have to show it in graphic details... there's a way to portray the feeling in one way or another
@MaxPChannel yes, I was a bit blunt but I mean talking like maybe a scene of somebody saying they got r worded with tears running down their face, cause scenes can be retraumatising
If PETA were to go brankrupt, we could use that money for actual useful things instead of putting down people's dogs for no reason. Edit: I created a war in the replies lmao Edit 2: And I don't regret it. Edit 3: I enjoy this little replies war I made. Edit 4: I think it's over.
At the rate that PETA releases games depicting animal cruelty in a way no other games do, I almost think they're just catering to a very specific and fucked up market.
Considering they murder innocent pets with the pathetic excuse that they'd allegedly rather be dead than pets, I think you can remove the word "almost" from your comment.
@@theuncalledfor they have killed 1 (one) pet. And that was a complete fuck up from their part. They don't walk around and round up pets to murder. Speaking of murder, did you know that 92.2 billion animals are murdered annually for food? 92.2 billion in one year. Crazy, isn't it?
@@Lulu_Lime They operate shelters that mass murder pet animals. Killing for food is not murder (unless you're a human and you kill another human), otherwise every carnivore in nature would be a serial murderer.
@Lulu_Lime peta shelters represented 11% of all animals euthanised in the entire commonwealth of Virginia in the year of 2022. That’s 2,130 animals, up to 79% of all the animals they took in that year, to my knowledge, a percentage so far from the norm in kill shelters they aren’t even on the same continent. I hate mass-scale animal cruelty as much as the next person, but I’d say a shelter run by an supposed animal rights charity doing those numbers deserves to be called out, no?
Latest game that actually manages to convey messages about animal protection by using beautiful scenery and mechanics, is Gibbon Beyond The Trees. It showcases of how the gibbon's home/forest gradually changes by human hands, by using the POV of the gibbons. And it's not even made by PETA.
I went to look up the game and it's such a beautiful looking game. And very creatively used its movement mechanics to show how difficult it gets for gibbons to survive due to deforestation. It's far more creative and tactful than anything PETA has made because PETA thrives on shock horror, rather than trying to make something meaningful.
I think the reason for the lag is the abundance of beginner game-makers in PETA headquarters who have 2% of an idea on how to make games and think they can justify the remaining 98%
given they were able to make something this weak run this badly on a PS4, the console that can handle over 7 million triangles at 60fps 1080p, should be a sign that those people need to find a different career. You could probably be able to load and unload every asset rendered in that game every frame, store every texture in a zip file that needs to be opened every time you use a texture, and melt the ps4 in the oven and it would still run better than this provided you coded the rest of the thing with at least as much competence as a piece of lint.
the other possibility is they decided to forgo donations from the public and just run crypto mining on people's PS4 and PS5, it would explain the slowdowns and the fact that they suddenly decided to only release it on the most powerful systems all of a sudden
@@dariendark7263 That could be possible considering the type of people that work with PETA. Though it could also be a Garten of Banban situation. Where the Modelers for the game didn't actually know how to optimize the models in the slightest to avoid lagging out the game while still showing High-quality models. (Or in this case Low to Medium-quality models.) Though the only flaw with this answer is the bosses. As the 2nd/final one has a pretty decent looking model. While the 1st one of similar quality seems to want to reduce your PS4 (And your house.) to ash.
PETA be like: *"STOP THE ANIMAL ABUSE"* Also PETA: *"We created a game about rabbits that will get attacked by hostiles, surely, this will stave off animal abuses!"* The irony is on-brand.
PETA: **Actively condones and engages in wonton animal cruelty** Also PETA: **Acts like they condemn animal cruelty** Sane Human Beings: "You literally don't realize how much of a hypocrite you are, do you?" Still PETA: **Surprised pikachu face**
Literally what I say everytime I see anything from them, cause the game is free they're literally gaining nothing other than more of their bullshit retoric on how they're so morally righteous when they just kill pets more often than not and more than likely want more of this as it appears to be a glorification of the process than anything
2:05 Judging by the scene transition at 3:45 and the sequence at 8:05 yes this seems to be an intentional effect for loading. It's kind of a neat door-use animation but very rough and unpolished, and especially awkward and noticable when it takes longer to load.
The more I think about it, the more I feel as if this game is just a crappy version of *The Binding of Isaac.* The way the bullets, and bombs move, the keys, the enemy gauntlet rooms, the vending machines, you won’t be able to unsee it once you realize.
Now that I think about it, the only animal abuse that I’ve ever seen in my life is real footage of animal abuse caught on camera or anything that PETA has done, guess which one I’ve seen more of?
If the game was, a lot a lot more polished, then it *might* be a decent game, and remove all the animal torture references and make it sonic-like where he just saves them
Me: What's peta doing lately? Peta: the vid Me: why? Peta: it's for animals rights Me: Are you kidding me, you're putting them in danger and make people hate you Peta: ....
At least Eggman wasn't that brutal, we can cleary see that he had no intentions in killing animals (Only to capture them so they could power his robots to get chaos emeralds), but still I agree, Sonic CD and Sonic 1 heavily relies on environmentalist themes
I actually downloaded this game not knowing it was made by peta mainly because I saw bunnies and thought “oh wow I like buns” now I know not to waste my time! Thanks man :)
Do they make a "watch your child die of muscular dystrophy" simulator? Or a "daddy died because he was on the heart donor list for too long" simulator? I mean for that matter, do they have a "save the insects from every PETA member who drives a car" game? No? Yeah, I didn't think so.
@@gotgunpowder that is like human experimentation monkeys and apes are our cousin species and are very similar to us in no way is implanting chips in people's brains "progress" and they shouldn't have to suffer from human greed
BRO DEADASS I WAS SHOWERING YESTERDAY AND THE GEL HAD A PETA STICKER ON IT AND I JUST STARED. I forgot they existed and suddenly got all memories back wtf
Same I downloaded it and I remember a store working and a different animal charity attached to it, maybe they tried to advertise it without peta marketing first?
I will _personally_ see to the creation of a game with the theme of "save the aminals" that is better functioning because I will ensure there's more than ten minutes of thought put in it, that's literally all it would take to be better.
how about they stop euthanizing every dog and cat they touch instead of making a game about saving animals? or do something about the organizations they call out? i agree that monkeys should not be tested on though
There's one good thing Peta has done. Making it so AI art can't be copyrighted What happened is someone posted a picture of a selfie a monkey took. The person apparently sold pictures of the image the monkey took. Peta tried to say that only the monkey can copyright it and that the monkey should get paid (and i think they were trying to copyright it for the monkey i don't remember the exact details). Peta lost the case and now only things made by humans can be copyrighted.
i get that humans are animals but non human animal testing is better than human testing . though similar nervous and immune systems are a base requirement i guess. cruel and unusual animal experiments can be bad
Considering they MURDER like over 85% of pets on their care and dump them on literal dumpsters, the fact they still think they are the good guys and try to make games about protecting animals is something so unreal it seems like something from a super villain.
I liked kitten squad... when i first got the switch and had no money, me and my sis played it alot. The story WAS kinda boring though, i never got past the one with the elephant thingy cus it was too hard for me and my sis and it couldnt captivate us for too long, she tapped out bafter the sheep mission where it was all like "im a comidity" or sumn like that. Amazing memories
Peta is trying way too hard and all they're really accomplishing is scaring the life out of people who love animals. Honestly, Peta makes the whole topic an overly exaggerated problem for the world to deal with. This is just crazy 💀💀💀
The worst thing about this is, there’s already a story that talks about animal experimentation and does a better job at it. That story happens to be Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. It proves you can make a story about abused animals and not make it the most cringy and hypocritical thing ever. PETA has no excuse.
The best anti animal testing game I have played was Whiplash for PS2, don't know if Peta was involved, only that I enjoyed the hell out of it as a kid. :)
Want an actually good Action Game with bunnies as characters? Play "Ninjin: Clash of Carrots" Available on PC and... Consoles I guess? (I only got it on PC) Anyway you play as a Bunny Ninja and His Fox Friend as they fight the bad guys to get the Village's carrots back.
I played this game and I think they patched it after your video. I didn't face any long loading screen and neither lag or stutter. My first playthrough I oppened all the boxes and door that I found and ended up with almost 10 keys to spare And those rooms with the healer bot was pretty simple to deal with, they were just a little more hard the the regular room that was already pretty easy. But I also play on a Ps5 so maybe that's the definitive version idk lol Overall it was a very simple easy game to platinum!
PETA: "Here's this game hyping up our hypocris-" Achievement Hunters: *"haha easy plat go vroom"* PETA: "Wait, we-" (Actual) Animal Rights Activists: "...tf is this horrid trash you released? Stop making us look bad." PETA: **dies** Announcer: "FATALITY. Basic Decency Wins."
Lol I swear this was just an indie game with no peta logos on it, there use to be a store that had skins I believe? and I even remember making an account for something and doing a connection for a skin, i remember comparing it to kitten squad with my friend but didnt see peta anywhere on it but a different charity, very bizzare.
Ayo o think you should try fear and hunger, its a dungeon crawler game made in rpgmaker but its really really brutal, gory and vile among other things (you will need a censor mod and i wouldnt reccomend doing a stream)
The Binding of Blood Bunny MegaMan but with cell shading and early 2000s textures. At least when Borderlands yanked a lot of stuff, texture style included, Ran-wit-dee-money Pitch-it-in-the-fjord somehow didn't fumble it until iteration 3.
10:20 If there is some intentional lagging in games to increase difficulty, I guess it's one of the "novel" ways of doing it (while being needless annoying lol)
Peta could be sued for using an image from berserk, that looks like the pendant from it with the screaming red face. But who knows, no one will report it I'm sure (totally not going to, nope, I ain't gonna bring it up 😊). It's what you're given at the beginning of the game, forgot to mention.
