Potential warning on this feeder…I bought it from Amazon. After 3.5 months of use, the battery died and won’t recharge. I found out 3 months in the day before an out of town trip…checked the feeder and noticed the battery light was flashing that it was low. Tried to recharge and the light wouldn’t change. Went back to Amazon and found that there were several reviews saying the battery wouldn’t recharge. 2 weeks later, the battery completely died and there’s no reviving it. Other than that, no issues with the feeder. I used tape to reduce the size of the feeding hole to get it where it wasn’t too much.

You could put a silica bag in the thumbler...is gone retain moist and is gone also chip your flakes in smaller bites!I use it in mine and feed the fishes with micro granules and never had clogged food for more than 1 year!

I was interested in watching your evaluation of this compared to the other feeder. The drawback of this as mentioned, seems to be that the food is open to a warm moist atmosphere and becomes damp. The earlier one had a panel that closed once the food had discharged so to my mind is a better feeder. Did you feel this?

I have one just like that and I stopped using it because the food was clumping and molding. Tried nano-pellets and those just pollute the rocks and substrate. I don't go out much, so it is much easier to do myself.

All feeders I see have one big drawback- no precise amount control for small tank and nano fish. I’m going to give the roundabout turntable one a go. It only has 15 day feed range, which is a drawback
