It was incredible - I was sitting there thinking "how can we play this stupid song for all the Sox fans?", then jumped out of my seat clapping when they got Rick Rolled - hook, line, and sinker. It was great!
Vincent Cuttolo Injuries do tend to pile up (at least Sale won’t need Tommy John surgery...) but you aren’t wrong, our bullpen is a bottomless pit, which hurts since our batting is stellar. (look at Rafael Devers recently)
Vincent Cuttolo Although Eduardo Rodriguez has been overall good this season (He has a 15-5 record), Rick Porcello can pull quality starts out, and Chris Sale was getting better until he got hurt... Brian Johnson is outright terrible, and Nathan Eovaldi is still getting settled into the rotation. Our starting rotation has its issues, but the bullpen is a fiery wreck. (The only quality players are our closer Brandon Workman, and perhaps rookie Darwinzon Hernandez)
so when we i was in like 6th grade we sometimes used to play this game where a person is chosen by random and an event is chosen by random, so i was chosen and the event was to choose a song that the teacher would have to play, i ofcourse chose never gonna give you up, no onein class got it cuz they werent internet loser geeks like me, but the teacher and some kids got it, best thing i ever done
The Padres weren't disrespecting the song or the tradition behind it. It was a good natured prank, period point blank. If the Red Sox had done something like this, you'd probably have no problems with it. Just take it for what it was and quit being triggered.
