I agree with you 110 percent. Pete burns is such a wonderful person, who never fails to amaze me. To this day, I am still so devastated that he would pass only at the young age of 57. I would love to just speak with Pete just once. Truly, the world lost a wonder, and a true fashion icon.
It was 1996 as this interview was done straight after the Virgin Megastore signing when "You Spin Me Round 96" was released. They came back in 1997 to do the White Party and a concert at the Dome when "Sex Drive" was released.
+SorBill07 Um, I'm related to 2 record promoters who also were "riding in limosines in the70's", LOL.. It's not that interesting or that big of a deal, especially to have died of aids at a young age.. Psh, EVERY friend my mom had died of AIDS by the time I was 6 years old.. I was too young to understand and would send my cabbage patch dolls and Disney movies to make them feel better.. Such is the role of the child of the late 80's and early 90's, we saw a lot of things that kids weren't meant too, and learned more and faster than any generation before or since.. Being the offspring (the majority of us) of baby boomers and ex hippies, we were expected to change the world, well look what we did.. NOTHING.. Again, our stories are just NOT that interesting.
He should have left the surgery alone at this point, he'd done enough and looked really good. But, he just couldn't until his lips nearly fell off. He was a two hit wonder (Spin Me Round and Brand New Lover), too bad he was never able to do another good, original hit song. Always complained and was unhappy.
Well really it depends if he's wearing heavy makeup he looks like a woman but with muscles if he's just wearing a little bit of makeup yes he kind of does look like a man in drag
