Depends on what they mean by "new direction". I wouldn't consider DQ to be a "new direction". I think they're looking for someone offensively minded, which seems to be the current trend.

Harbaugh is likely returning to the NFL. Has nowt left to prove in the college game and has a huge chip on his shoulder for the pro game. Won't be the Hawks though. Chargers or Raiders would be my guess.

So with Harbaugh and a potential lucrative new contract at Michigan, his rivalry with Carroll and probably not playing nicely with Schneider counts him out for me, Quinn is too much like Carroll and I haven't seen anything truly great from him but Ben Johnson would be perfect for us! Outside of that I would be quite happy with Vrabel at HC, Artie Smith at OC and bring through a new DC with a matching moustache under Vrabel's guidance. So long, Coach Carroll and thanks for all the good times!

Dan Quinn would be obvious choice, good coach has players respect. Yes he miscoached a 28-3 lead in 4th quarter in Superbowl against Brady and Pats. But his coaches also share blame for that too. Especially Kyle Shanahan, he was OC. With him being a Defensive guy, he will definitely help with defense and getting things back to being physical. I would be curious who he has in mind for his OC or if he wants to keep Waldren. I think Shane wants to pass more or be more creative at times but I think Carroll said no. Why schottenheimer left. Shotty was a good OC.

Harbaugh is out of the ? if they decided to keep Pete in the Org, those two hate each other and I’m pretty sure Pete wouldn’t like it and not stay and I doubt the front office would do that to Pete. A big fat NO to Quinn if that’s the case should have kept Pete, they need a fresh start and there’s 2 that would be awesome for Seattle Ben Johnson or Eric Bieniemy.

I don’t want another defensive minded coach. Watch Colin Cowherd’s RU-vid post today where he discusses Seahawks and the shifting landscape in the NFL. Quinn will be a duplicate of Carrol. Get an offensive minded coach who would know what a championship quality QB is and hire a great DC.

Dan Quinn is not a HC he is a great DC. That being said WE DO NOT NEED TO RUN IT BACK! We are trying to move forward and bringing in a PC guy is just trading for a younger PC. That does not make any sense.
