Clark wasn't really treating people right anymore. He'd developed such a strong friendship with Lex it was almost like Pete's friendship wasn't important to him anymore. I think Pete leaving was a lesson Clark had to learn from

Joel Oilar the point of Pete leaving in the first place is to protect himself and Clark’s secret. Not for Clark to super speed and all that other stuff you written. It would defeat the purpose of Pete’s departure.

This scene and that scene, Clark was NEVER the same person never again, and I think that Lex preyed on that.

Pete didn't tell Clark his location and ignored him for a long time dodging Clark's calls he said this when he returned later in the series

@@Uknowjusticemill years later in the comics after Clark finally became Superman, Metallo went after Lana (who at the time was doing missionary work down in Africa, protecting the locals and that), and absorbed all her Kryptonite powers, so she’s a regular human being again.

But it sucks tho, that Lana and Kal were a wonderful power couple (literally) that it just felt weird watching Lois and Clark on screen from thence. It’s like the writers KNOW that Lois and Clark MUST end up together to keep with comic book accuracy, and they wrote KaLana so well, that they literally made it so that thy couldn’t be together so that Lois could get her some Man of Steel. So sad. 😞

@@clayongayle8870, I loved Clark and Lana FINALLY being a power couple! But absorbing Lana with kyrponite was wrong as hell after everything they had been through. What a terrible ending.

In this one, he allowed Lex to get brainwash, cause he was scared about him knowing. Everything before the brainwash. Lex stood up for the town and saved it from economy collapse multiple times. Yea he slept around, so what? That wat rich ppl with that much money do. However he treated everybody with respect, and if you could get past his name's history from his father. He was one the most loyal ppl you'd meet. Lex Luthor being a villain in this version in later seasons. Was completely Clark's fault.

Chosen Fallen no it wasn’t they showcased that when they showed an alternate reality where Clark never left Krypton and he was still an asshole. Don’t blame Clark solely for how he turned out Lex still chose to act like a dick.

@@thomasraines1396 I don't blame Clark for the way Lex turned out since I think Lex was already too far gone when Clark met him. The Luthor family dynamics is what doomed Lex to become who he became. Between his upbringing by Lionel and circumstances involving uncovering his grandparents' murder at the hands of Lionel & Morgan Edge and the hatred between him & Lionel that caused him not to trust Lionel even when Lionel became good & finally started helping Clark, Lex was just never going to have a chance to really be someone Clark could trust in the long term. The Lex we saw in the Apocalypse what if scenario that Jor-El placed Clark in I wouldn't say was evil but was definitely misguided thanks to Brainiac who as his Milton Fine persona manipulated Lex into making all the bad choices and launching the nukes. We saw that Lex seem to care about Lionel when he revealed how Lionel died protecting Kara who was that Lex's adopted sister. But even that Lex used Kara to get power and boost his presidency since that's how Lionel groomed him. But unlike that what if scenario Lex, the real Lex grew to distrust aliens because he didn't have one as a sister/family member or friend. He had Clark for a while who he didn't know was an alien at the time but always suspected him of having powers. But the alien stuff that happened because of things like the Brainiac ship & Brainiac's Milton Fine form in season 5, the releasing of Zod who possessed Lex, the Phantom Zone escapees of season 6, and the whole Traveler retcon bullshit of season 7 made the real Lex hate aliens and since the Apocalypse President Lex didn't have those experiences, he was not the same caliber threat that the real Lex was who ended up creating so many projects to battle the threat aliens posed and made himself a much more powerful threat and a danger to Superman who didn't exist in that Apocalypse scenario.

@Power106Fan In my opinion, the show could have handle him better-Not making him so annoying at times. He should have at least finish high school with Clark and Chloe; and you gotta admit Pete and Chloe at some point in the early seasons should have been A couple and Pete should have return for clark's wedding.

That’s true on both accounts and this is why Clark may have never fully trusted him. I mean he trusted him as much as he could but when people like Pete, Lana, and Chloe, not to mention his own parents keep telling Clark don’t trust Lex a million times over it’s kind of hard to ignore them. and Clark was the only one who vouched for Lex. Plus all the shady characters Lex was around daily either.

Too bad he never got Chloe.

I was A huge Pete Ross fan and I completely understand his pov. Pete is a teenager, of course he would act immature-most teenagers do. Chloe had plot armor on her side.
