Even though Pete was only like 40 something here, he still has the affect of an old man, and that's pretty cool

What a beautiful person Pete is. For he is still with us. He was a mentor, an entertainer, a preacher, and just a man, and a just man. Gloria Throne told me, she sailed the little boat, not the Clearwater, down the Hudson with him. Pete, your music changed my life- for the better. You brought America to the Americans, like no one else has ever done.

He was a proud Commuist but just wouldn't admit it He is what's known as a coward. Never said a bad thing about Stalin. You can't "take" the first. Then no one on earth could be called as a witness.

His works speak for themselves.

@@SandfordSmythe "If I had a hammer"" was written by good old Pete and was sung at the Communist Party meetings, you know the party he claims never to have belonged to. Hard to have any respect for anyone as phony as he was. He also died with an estate worth over $2 million. And "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was a song he stole from an African native and paid him $20 for the rights. What a guy!
